At the part I'm up to now, the antics of the author are very, uh, sophomoric - as in it's easy to get sick of hearing how much he wants to get laid - but I expected that from the reviews. And he recognises that his past self was extremely immature, so I have confidence that things will pick up. It's definitely a small-press book - it could seriously do with some editing - but if you've ever talked to your motorcycle I think you'll still enjoy it.

I'm definitely one to get attached to my bike. Not all though. Never did to the Sportster. Probably a big reason i sold that one.
I cried when they told me my first bike was a total loss. I give Pikachu a pat on the seat if i pass by, or on the tank after a good turn or getting out of a hairy situation. He is my faithful steed. As others have said, i take care of him and he takes care of me.

I know I'd cry if that happened to Hurricane. I'd learn to rebuild her myself with my bare hands if I had to...

Touch the seat every time I walk by. Occasionally whisper things like "its been to long since the last ride" "That was awesome!" and most commonly, a heart felt, sincere "Thank you" whenever appropriate. Always keep up with maintenance, definitely therapeutic working on/tinkering with/cleaning/riding her.
For the last year and a half she's been the only woman in my life I feel love for. (aside from my mother, and daughter, of course.)

I ride because therapy is too expensive, and less fun. |
