I'd buy one if they created a spec race series just for it. That'd be a hoot.

But otherwise no. Not useful on the street. I can see it being popular for the bike night/poser crowd... somebody's already making swingarm extenders for it!

There was some talk about the torque in it being why thats so easy. That and it only weighs like 200 lbs. Lean back on that puppy and find the sweet spot Saw a video of a guy bunny hop it over a curb lol Anyone try that on the Ninja?

Its like the Honda Ruckus but without the Cult following (yet). The aftermarket selection for that scooter is ridiculous. Not to mention the customizing they do to it

I was just given a 1970 z50 that seems very similiar. I dont have to register it since its only 50cc. Hopefully it wont cost 3 grand by the time I put it all back together.

The grom is ugly and looks uncomfortably small. Waste of money id rather put that money into my savings for my zx6r fund thats slowly building.

OK so there actually are quite a few "Grom Challenge Series" in the various clubs around the country now and I have seen some freaking nice little race bikes. Still way to rich for my blood but cool none the less.

That's a purty bike.

I think my next one is going to be one of these:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_Pacific_Coast

I owned one a few years ago that I would still have, if it weren't for the idiot cager that ran me over. Never got around to replacing it, but I have an urge to do a x-country trip, so I think I found the one I want.

Yes worldtraveller, I spent some time looking for one about 20 years back but they sold very few in the UK, The Honda Pan European (a very good bike in its own right) totally eclipsed it here.

So these groms. Why can they have inverted forks, yet the ninjette and baby cibber don't? I know there are various reasons for one vs the other, but the grom is also 'budget' and durn it, why can it have cool looking forks but I can't?!? wahhhhh!

I don't care if they're still nasty boring oldschool damper-rod forks, can we get them upside down please??!?

That's a lot of money for that little bike, if I'm gonna pay that much, I will invest my money on another 250/300 or a cheaper used KLX140 trail bike.

I was walking through town last week and saw one of those things parked up. It really got my attention because of how weird it looked! I stopped to check it out. The fairings fully enclose the bike the same way that car bodywork does. Very interesting bike! It looked cosy to ride. It looked very American in style. I imagined the owner being a friendly, middle aged, American dude with unkept floppy hair and a Hawaiian shirt. Because it's England though it was probably grumpy, middle aged, British dude with unkept floppy hair and a few layers of warm clothing

It's weird you mentioned that. Yesterday on the way back from work I had a grom coming towards me in the opposite lane (I'm pretty sure it was a grom). The guy rode straight over a big speed bump and I was surprised to see the front forks completely swallow up the bump and the headlight remain level of the road. The dude gave me a big cheerful nod as he passed. Must be lovin' his grom!

Yeah, they are amazing bikes. I would still have mine, except I got ran over while stopped at a stop sign, by an idiot in an F-350. Poor bike was totaled.

Not many bikes you can ride 9 hours, for 3 days, and get off wanting to turn around and do it again. I've got my eye on one just a few hours away from here. The owner has put all the mods on it I want, so it's already set up how I want it!

I'm trying to get a bunch of the local guys here to buy Groms, so we can start a Grom racing group at the local kart track.

Why do they look so tiny in the video? They looked a bit bigger on honda grom dot net when I was looking a while back.

Can't see why anyone would want to ride that on the street in traffic.

There's probably more money in mods than the cost of the bike!.. I don't get it.
