So, where's the reverse?

I'm not sure if moving it around to prevent flat spots is necessary. I pump the tires close to max psi and roll them up onto pieces of wood or thick carpet. Never had flat spots in the spring.

Everyone's method varies. Taking the time to store the bike properly is very rewarding in the spring when it starts up right away.
If your bike will be in the parking lot you should look into getting a cover for it. |

I would also check the coolant and change if more than a couple of years old. Make sure it's safe down to -20 or so - usually a 50%/50% mix of antifreeze and water is recommended. I've learned recently that regular bottled drinking water is better to use than distilled or de-ionized water.
I'd also drain the float bowls before storing. As noted - once you change the oil, run it for a minute - then don't start it again until you are ready to ride. Running for short periods only contaminates the clean oil. Current tire don't flat-spot, so don't worry about that. Storing outside, even under a cover, is not a great idea. Find cheap inside storage if you can. |

We are about to PCS from Hawaii to Kansas. Other than draining the gas should I follow these same rules? TIA
