Cool launch but others were discredited for being non-gps so this one should be too.

Someone post the full race video.

You can discredit my speedometer if you wish but I assure you I have calibrated it via GPS and its within 0.5% also the digital speed readout in my opinion is always slightly delayed under acceleration so when it reads 60 it's probably already at 62+ that goes the same for GPS so I'm confident this is just sub 6secs in reality.

You won't find a racer who can out hole shot me at a race start guaranteed

Here's the rest of the race

I tried a couple of 0-60 runs on my Ninja 300, so here they are. The vids are ****, so it's hard to measure accurately, but I *think* they're both under 6.

Just kidding.........

Those 300 have a nice acceleration

How heavier than a new-gen 250 are them?

Is that measurement taking into account the speedo error? Mine is at a true 60 mph when the dash reads 64 mph or so.

@ninjamunky85, since you're so far OT in that other thread and I feel bad for ruining it, come over here and post your proof that sub-6 0-60 is normal.

For average ninjetters, we've pretty much shown that mid 6's or about 7 is normal.

I'll post my video of my best run, which was 6.23 seconds. Let me get it started loading here. Until then, watch all the other videos. Jiggles has a few good runs. I have few good runs. Rojo went sub 6, but also remember that he's not an average rider. Former AMA racer.

How many miles on the 300? Moto-man method!!! Do the 0-60 run and then engine brake the whole way back down if it's got more than 300 miles on it already.

I've raced against my dad in his 350z and were pretty equal up to 60mph then he starts to pull a little.

350z is no supercar but its a hell of a lot faster then the average car out there.

If you take into consideration that my speedometer is electronic and has to recalculate the every rotation and refresh the LCD dash every few tenth of a second then in my video I'm easily under 6 buy a few tenths. But then statistically speaking I take the holeshot in 95% of the races I enter wether it be from the first or 12th row of the grid

You're also the fastest guy on a 250 up to 60 that I've ever seen.

This thread bump reminds me, I need to get another swing at this after I get my fuel map all worked out. I'm EFI now, and I'm running 15/45 gearing. It might be faster, who knows.

Do an oil change since you just hit 200 miles.

Then do a 60 run once the snow clears and you feel comfortable. Heavy load (and engine braking) are good for an engine. They break in under load.

Haha. Yeah, I was shocked at how easy it was to lift the front wheel on the 300. First couple tries I pretty much just popped the clutch from 7 or 8k, but then I'd have to back off to bring the front wheel down. So the best runs I got were from winding it up to 7 or 8 and then feathering the clutch. This was all after only a few hundred miles on it, so I'm pumped for the weather to warm back up, get a new camera, and then go do some real work, now that I've gotten intimate with my girl.

Travis, that's what I found also. Watch my second run in the video in the first post. I kinda popped a little. That's why I personally have had best results when revving to 6 or 7 and getting the clutch engaged asap.

Here's the video I took in May or whenever. Idk why it's only in 480?

whatever. 0-60 in 6.23 seconds. That was my fastest by far. The bike had a full muzzy, opened intake, good jetting, 14/47 gearing, and 90 profile tires. So basically it had stock gearing and tires.

When I drop the clutch you can see my RPMs get pulled down from 13K to 9k. This is the result of me getting the clutch out as fast as possible to get 100% motor traction. I your video you slip the clutch flawlessly from 9k and it doesn't drop at all and once it rises to 13 you shift. It may be that little bit of slipping plus my full exhaust and jetting that make the difference.

Not a bad start but go back and compare mine to yours.
So the less RPM drop, the better the start? I should try starting at a higher 13K and see if I would improve...
