A funner way to say "motorcycle mechanics".

In other news, after my brisk outing today, I managed to forget the key in the ignition. With it still on in neutral.

And killed the battery.

*facepalm*

Push starting did not work so hot. Limited space, only two people and no hills. Also, the bike refuses anything but first or neutral while stopped.

Oi vey!

Bought a charger.

Just poking fun
I have a PHD in common mechanical sense so I do all the Moto doctorate stuff to my bike and try to teach a buddy of mine what I can here and there. Teaching him to do his 6000mile valve job is going to be fun

If your in Concord are you taking it to Concord Powersports?

No worries. That's the positive neutral finder.

Probably Motowrx in Livermore, actually.
You must be thinking of Contra Costa Powerports. I had them do my tire. 24 bucks for that, was a deal. Cycle gear wanted 33 bucks.

@choneofakind: I know. I just had all my friends saying "put it in 2nd or 3rd!" Meanwhile I'm like...I can't! Friggin kawasaki!

Edit: about an hour on the charger did the job. Never been so happy to see that stupid square headlight.

Went to install my new front sprocket and misread the torque values.

Sheared both bolt heads off flush with the sprocket. Then I damaged the threads on the BRAND ****ING NEW sprocket trying to remove the ****ed up bolts.

Le sigh. $30 mistake + wasted my entire night. Now I get to wait for BikeBandit to get me the new sprocket and bolts. I'm SO glad my bike is rideable now :/

well the original one is 14T and extremely worn, so I threw it out. The 15T one was damaged by myself trying to remove the sheared off retaining bolts.

I ordered another 15T and 2 sets of the retaining bolts from BikeBandit. Hopefully they show up fast. It's supposed to rain all this upcoming week anyways, and my bike doesn't have a chain or brake pads right now.

Bring the stripped sprocket by my shop in Livermore and I fix it for you.

Got Constance a new pair of shoes. Found a mechanic in my area that is willing to teach me how to do my own maintenance. Replaced the old stocks with set of BT-45's. I did not know it would be so simple but it was a was

Know what else? Working on my own bike was AWESOME!

Lubed my chain and cover up a bent bracket because there was no longer a coating along where it bent and I was afraid of it being prone to rust.

Storm system hit just North of of el Paso and we caught the 50-60 mph winds along with all the dirt. Spent the morning cleaning the dirt and grit off of my bike and cleaning the chain.

So my buddy was kind enough to drive me back to the shop today and pickup that R-6 wheel conversion I finished last night(more precisely this morning) we mounted an old fried race tire on it so I could mount it up and test the new brakes. Got back home only to find I forgot the caliper adapter braket at work there's always tomorrow right.

Took my HIDs out only to find that the stock bulb sockets were chucked when the HIDs were put in. Placed an order for the replacement sockets and they cost more than the bulbs themselves.

I'll be a happy panda when I get these normal H7 bulbs back in and won't feel like "that guy" that blinds everyone at night.

@Kevin2109 damn bro, ghetto wiring + epoxy.

So while the 250 is sitting there waiting for its parts, I cleaned and lubed the chain of the ZX6R and re-wired the Bazzaz Z-Fi on it. I had it plugged into the sub-TPS rather than the main TPS (they both use the same shape connector) and I couldn't calibrate the TPS position in the software for ****. Fixed that up and god damn, those spaces are cramped even with my baby hands. I read up on how to make a homemade map select switch so I'll probably wire that up next week. SPST toggle switch + wires = map select switch.

Bwahahahahaha that whole light thing was a cluster****, sorry. It was the first mod that I did and totally ordered the wrong bulbs. That screw still in the headlights?

Both of the retaining clips are missing and one of the screws is missing. I ordered the bulb sockets and will probably use electrical tape instead of epoxy.

Installed new accelerator throttle cable, left switch housing, and clutch pivot bolt. Then added 66 miles onto her odometer.

Mounted the complete R-6 wheel on the ninja and its looking good once the sun rises and roads dry out a bit ill go see if I can do a stoppie a little easier then before. I forgot to wiegh the wheels without tires but with a 120 Dunlop race tire the R-6 wheel is 22lbs and the ninja 250 wheel with 110 Michelin pilot road 3 is 23lbs so one pound lighter. This weeks project while I wait for my friend to sent me the R-6 caliper and R-1 320mm rotor is to make my own Mojo Tire Lever so I can swap the Michelin onto the R-6 wheel and get you guys a true wheel only wieght comparison.

Left Stock wheel with Michelin 110, right R-6 wheel with Dunlop 120

I will duct tape her dog to it if it keeps her riding I barley got her into it at all.

Cleaned the chain FINALLY been putting that off for way too long, and rode her! Too much of a chance of ice here to ride lately, today was 40+ mph gusts but it was sunny and like 48 degrees and I wasn't gonna waste it lol
