This is the picture. It's as close as I could get.

This is a huge and beautiful American War memorial in England. I was the only one in the entire place this evening.

Pictures gradually getting closer to the chapel:

You can see at the end of the building there is a place where people can sit/kneel for prayer.

A long pond in front of the chapel leading up to a large American flag mast:

It's a really solemn place to be.

I don't know if my picture is going to be accepted. I think the church is like 50 years old, but that might not be old enough. The bike is also far quite away from it. Not really next to it.

Akima - Sorry I was slow to respond! I like it...it fits the description and like 315kid said - this is all in good fun - it is all about the fun of riding and finding a place that fits the challenge.

(((All the "P@$$Y$"....I mean criers that a challenge is too hard or whatever drives me insane

Its about having fun and if you can find what is needed for the challenge then cool and if not then grow some patience and let others find it then sit back and check out the cool pics. Or get some creativity and make up a funny.)))

.......OK off my soap box and now let me get my lazy @$$ off the couch and go get a pic of a bowling alley. HAHAHAHAHA!

Given that you took the pic on the anniversary of D-Day, in the resting place of 3,812 WWII soldiers, sailors & airmen, that is both sad & depressing

i figured someone would have gotten this by the time i got home but i took the picture just in case. attachment (1).jpg attachment (2).jpg new challenge is your bike next to a population sign with either less than 250 or more than 250,000 the suburb i took the picture at all the names were of famous battles i just thought that the bull run battle would be the least likely to be anywhere else

Because some people have no patience is all. It's been less than 48hrs w/o the challenge having been met and that apparently qualifies for dead.

72hrs would be 3 days, it's only been 2 days (June 10 and 12 are when he posted). Plus it is still at 1 week max for each challenge. That's fast enough (and too fast for some people it seems) to keep it moving.

What d'ya think @sombo? Can't be arsed to make a poll, but I'm getting the general feeling that folks round these parts want to revert back 72hours now that riding weather is better.
