Glad to hear all the good reviews. I have a 2 small tears in the middle of my rear, but I think it's from road debris. As long as I can make them last for another few months, I'm fine. But, I will most certainly buy these again and again.

@LoD575 Not bad, I have 4,300 miles on them and there is some squaring on them. But that's due to the overly straight roads here in Southern Georgia. Still plenty of life in them...I'd say I can get about another 3-4,000 miles out of them. But we'll see if road surface changes the longevity when I move back to Ohio for the summer.
Over all, I can't complain at all. |

That seems to be good mileage.
I feel your pain about several overly straight roads, I suffer the same here in SE New Mexico. |

@LoD575
There are a few roads around with a couple twisties, but nothing like the Rockies or Smokies. Atleast Ohio has some stuff where I live in the country, down south near Hocking Hills gets really good. |

@NDspd are you going to make it up to Mid-Ohio for a meet and greet with us while we ride the track?
Also, where in Hocking hills area are you? I would be game for a weekend trip south to ride a little bit. Hocking hills is a 3 hour drive from me, but I'll have a pickup truck so that isn't an issue. |

I live in Dayton, so Hocking is a bit of a long drive for me. Most likely I would have my parents come down with me with a trailer and I would stay down there for a few days. But, yeah that would be a fun trip. |

Hahaha...so what if it isn't in stock size, the Pirelli's I would say are a safer tire for any rider. They perform better in almost all conditions.
Heck I'd say they were the most popular tire, here in the near future. |

Pirelli made a wise choice making these in a 140. I'm surprised Michelin hasn't made the Pilot Powers or Dunlop the Q2s in a 140. (Now just you watch, now that I've said this, they will)

Quick question:
Is anyone using the 120/70 in the front? Any fitting issues?

Pirelli has made the best size for our ninjette.
If you carefully measure it is not 140 but 133.5 It is well know that Pirelli has slimmer tyres for the same name size between other tyre brands. I noticed that also when I installed mine on Friday. When I had my previous tyres installed (BT090) rear tyre was rubbing at my A-Tech hugger while Diablo Rosso II didn't.

WooHoo
My Rosso II's showed up yesterday from Canada's Motorcycle on-line. I won't be putting them on until mid June, a few weeks before a trip. Can hardly wait.

Ok, just a little bit of an update, after 5,000 miles these tires are still performing top notch! I have noticed though after 2 long trips (250 miles, 700 miles) primarily on highways, they have squared off in the middle quite a bit. I have about 2mm left before hitting the middle wear marker, though the rest have atleast 3-4mm. So with me not making anymore trips for the rest of school(no long trips) I should be able to get another 1,500-2,000 miles before having to get a new rear. The front shows minimal wear at least.
So really, I would put the Pirelli Diablo RossoII tires as follows ($=bad $$=ok $$$=good $$$$=excellent) Canyon Carving: $$$$ City riding:$$$$ Country riding:$$$$ Highway riding:$$$ Long Distance riding(400 miles+):$$ Off Road riding:$ 3 Season Riding:$$$$ Trackday riding:???? What do you guys think of your DRII's so far? |

Loved them on my 250, so today I ordered a set for my CBR600. Will report back if they are just as awesome for bigger bikes as they are for the 250.

Well I got this current pair in January, but the roads here are really rough and too straight. Once I go home for break in Ohio, I won't be riding as much. So, if I replace the rear right as the summer starts it should last me for the rest of the year.

In terms of braking/straight line, tires feel the exact same (even in the wet). In a lean, the Rosso II feel more 'planted' if that makes any sense. The Sport Demons sometimes felt a bit skiddish in full lean but as of now, I've not had an instance of that with my Rossos. The only major thing to note (and I think I mentioned this before) is that switching from 110/130 to 120/140 I notice it takes a lot more effort to flick the bike around. When weaving to heat the tires up, it takes significantly more force on the bars to get it to flick. I don't feel I lost any likability as I can still do it without breaking traction, it's just not as effortless. I for one, kind of like this as it feels more like I'm working with the bike. That being said, it could just be all in my head as I gave it a solid 150miles of easy riding for break in.

Weaving doesn't do anything to heat the tires up, and the fact that it takes more steering effort to lean the bike is what people are referring to as the bike losing the flickability it's known for. The bike would steer better and ultimately handle better with a 110 up front.
