Because the admins are nice enough to provide this forum to us free of charge and someone/something has to pay the bills, beggers can't be choosers.

Besides, we discuss several bikes, as enthusiasts most of us like all kinds of bikes.

I like Hondas. I see no issue with the advertisements. Don't click on em if you don't wanna see more Honda motorcycles.

Adblock is great and all, but for small sites or forums like this, ads help them stay running, so in the end you're not helping the forum by blocking the ads...

You can customize AdBlock to not block ads on certain webpages or domains. For other times, it can be disabled with a mouse click.

typically you don't deal with advertisers directly. you deal with advertising management services like google adsense or doubleclick. they crawl each page and look for keywords (like 250, motorcycle, etc) they classify the site in a vague category and advertisers buy slots in that category.

Yup, I use Google Adsense here. More info in this thread.

If you want to disable the ads, there's no need to install adblock. Just go to edit options in the quick links menu, and the bottom setting enables/disables ads. It resets the 1st of each month.

Link is broken

Does blocking the ads hurt Ninjette's revenue?

Sorry about that; link fixed. It's a sticky thread in the forum info section.

Sure, but I'm not going to stay up nights worrying about it. Google pays for pageviews that show the ads, and clicks on the ads themselves. The clicks pay far more than the pageviews, so if someone is so intent to block the ads, it's unlikely they will be clicking many of them anyway.

their cars aren't too bad, i had a civic for a couple of years with no issues.
sold it to a friend and he's been driving it for 6yrs now.

the ad generator just sees japanese motorcycle and links to honda since it one of their paid advertisers. not sure how its wrong or offensive.

money is money.

In this economy I'm just thankful that we have the opportunity to have someone else pay our bills! Plus, isn't it sorta ironic and cool that Honda is paying our bills?
