need SSD suggestions for laptop

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820239374

This is the one I'm looking at getting, but was wondering if anyone had any better alternatives. The main reason for my upgrade from my 5400RPM Mech drive is to reduce read speeds as much as possible for loading tracks to mix.

Reviews seem fantastic for that drive.

Yep, I just found out this is the one installed on my work laptop from my boss. I had no idea!

Seems to be pretty fast, though my personal laptop isn't SATA III, only SATA II.

That reminds me...I need to drop a new HD in my old HP laptop. Can you say Diablo 2 when days at work are slow?

I haven't researched to know which drive is the best or fastest and what-not, but www.lifehacker.com/deals posts daily deals on all tech products. SSD's appear fairly often. You may be able to snag a good at a decent price.

Save up a bit more money and get a 250gb drive. I find its too easy to run out of space on my current 120gb in my laptop. I have an OCZ agility in my desktop and laptop and I just purchased another 250gb for my desktop since I run out of space with games and video editing software. Any SSD with good reviews is going to make your laptop lightning fast, its the single biggest upgrade you can do on a pc

I just bought one of those. Between windows and all the software and such, 120gb is not even close to enough. I gave it to my boss. hahahahahhaha

Try my older Macbook....80GB. I literally put a USB powered external HD on it and attached it to the back of the screen via velcro.

This computer is used only for mixing, so space isn't really an issue. Mostly speed.

There's no point buying a drive this close to black Friday unless it's an emergency. Go to slickdeals black Friday / cyber Monday forums and see what you find. Keep in mind Windows will easily take up 30gb and your drive will shrink faster than you expect. I'd go with 250gb to be safe.
