ALoooooHA,
.
So one of the things I did was fine tune the CV carbs, it already had a Jet Kit in it. The hard part was fine tuning the carbs for open use, no airbox or filters.

So I modified some cheap stacks to fit and got the mains situated and the needles height set, and man it worked GREAT, snappy all the way through, no stutter nothing.

Sorry, didn't remember to take video.

*** Couldn't Leave IT Alone, COULD YOU ***
.
So I knew a guy who raced drag bikes on the east coast and I remember years ago he had a set of nearly new CRs for the 250. I got ahold of him and he still had them.
.
Sold the GREAT running set of CVs and now got a set of shiny new CRs. Made a set of custom vel stacks to fit and then tried to get them to run. Damn thing was leaking like a sieve.
.
After several cleaning, dipping, retrying and still, gas everywhere. So I narrowed the problem down to the needle jets and possibly the O rings on the needle seats.
.
Waiting on parts now to solve that problem.

.
So I got to remove the OEM gauge cluster and other unnecessary weight.
.
I also added in a separate water temp gauge as well and made a panel out of carbon fibre to hold it all on.
.
I also added on vinyl skin to protect the lcds from chips and damages.

*** Mahalo to Danno ***
.
Danno has been helping me offline and thanks to him I have now converted over the pregen suspension to a newgen with the 17 inch wheels both front and rear.
.
I also got another motor from a newgen that will be torn down and maxed out with +4 pistons, racecut trans, slipper clutch, cams ported head and oversized valves etc. In the end every nut and bolt will be titanium and carbon fiber wheels with race slicks, ti axles and swingarm pivot bolt as well etc. Goal is to get it as light as possible, hopefully in the 250 range, it is already down to 306 as it sits. As you can see price will be no object.
.
Waiting for the suspension from Thailand and will slowly have pics forthcoming.
.
So till next time Keep R off the street and on a track and 'Speed Safely' ALoooHA, Book UM DanO

ALooooooHA,
.
Its been awhile but it has been trying to juggle so many projects at the same time.
.
So one of the challenges is a lot of part swapping or making parts so you can fit newgen on pregen for road racing.
.
So I got the newgen 17" wheels for a deal and swapped them on and the old arm and its adjustments left a lot to be desired.

Nothing is always JUST A BOLT ON or IN when swapping out or upgrading.
.
The new rear shock was no exception. The banjo to the reservoir was not clearing the mount to secure the inner fender. Which also adds rigidity to the upper mount.

Another mod was adding a linear damper to the front end. As we all know there are no kits for pregen for this upgrade.
.
So after acquiring a universal unit I upgraded the bushings and made a mount to be able to get a linear damper to function on our project build.

Mahalo, I got sidetracked and just ordered a prefab oil tray. The one I made didn't sit and look right. If anyone will be at PRI dm me and let me know.

ALoooooHA and Hauoli Makahiki Hou ( Happy New Year )
.
Its been awhile but a lot has been on the plate. A week after my last post I was off to PRI. PRI is the SEMA for the racing industry and it takes place in Indy.
.
Lots of meetings and connecting with existing sponsors and reaching out to new potential ones as my TV show heads on to Motortrend TV later this year where builds like this thread covers will be featured on the show and more in depth features will be on our Amazon Prime programming.
.
This also means connecting with folks like Farm and Azn for some projects we have going on in Hawaii that they will be involved with.

Soooo, after trying to fab a lower pan myself there were just fitment issues and tbh it just didn't look right so I got tired of wasting time trying to make it work.
.
I ordered a lower pan and although it is not application specific some massaging will be needed to make it fit and look like it belongs on this bike.
.
It took over a month before the part arrived and then the holidays thus the delay in getting more posts.

A 'BIG' Mahalo . . .
.
Thanks to my new friends from Rodio Racing they helped me out and sent me this for our 250 build.
.
Young Gus Rodio competes in the Moto America Jr Cup and this season he will also be aboard a Warhorse HSBK prepped Aprilla in the Twins Cup class as well.
.
Stay tuned as a lot of other parts are arriving this coming week and since the body work can move ahead we will proceed after to complete tear down, powder coating, paint, upgrading the brakes and a whole bunch more custom parts and pieces will be added.
.
So Till next time Y'all stay warm, 'Keep it off the Street and on a Track' and 'SPEED SAFELY' 'ALoooooooHA' fellow Ninjetters, Book UM Danno

*** Affordable Today ***
.
When i began racing in the 80s titanium parts were scarce and very expensive.
.
We called it 'Un-ob-tanium' back in the day. Now days it is not that much more than steel fasteners.
.
Will show the weight diff on a gram scale between the oem and the ti.
.
Titanium is also corrosion resistant which means they will look great for a long time, especially in the salty air enviro of the 808.
.
Stay tuned as builds like these will be showcased on PunishUM on Motortrend TV later this season.
.
.

So until next time 'Keep it off the Street and on a Track and SPEED SAFELY' ALooooooHA and Book UM Danno.

Aloha Danno, I can't recall specifically. There are so many different vendors on ebay. I just made a sheet with bolt size, thread pitch and hit search. From there you can specify length in the drop down as well as amount. The more you get the cheaper it becomes. Most won't ship to Hawaii but they will to the mainland so it will be easier for you.
