Idle Speed, High beam not working

So today i bought an 07 ex250, 12,000 miles. bike runs good other than it idles once warmed up at 3000 rpm no choke and i either have the idle spd screw set so that it idles under 1000 or at 3000. What gives. Also the Headlight wont turn on for highbeam but it does for lowbeam. Im thinking new bulb? What bulb can i get thatd be brighter. The highbeam indicator on the dash turns on.

Gratz Seth!

Try the simple stuff first. Check your airbox/filter and have a look at all the vac lines but honestly sounds like a slightly dirty carb. Any mods to the exhaust or pods? Seafoam might help but don't expect magic.

I would try a new bulb before going any further with the headlight.

The part # for the bulb is 92069-1002 should be about 10 bucks.

When in doubt with funk idle/warm up, clean the carbs.
