I went with the standard color... The black/carbon. Seemed to look good from the pics. I will post up once I get it. I have had several Corbins on other bikes and liked em, hope it's the same for this one.

what colors do they offer?

I've seen black/carbon and I've also seen the black/carbon with some red strip on the edge. Would love to see others.

I'm pretty sure you can have them do whatever you want. Here's there materials:

Today I shimmed my carb needles and took the bike for a rather chilly test ride.

The whole mod took me less than 2 hours from start to finish. It was super easy even though this was my first time working on a new-gen. Much thanks goes to kkim for the threads on how to take the bike apart.

I believe so since they are made to order, you can pick and choose the options during your ordering process. They also ask your height, weight, inseam and if you have any other items you would like addressed... such as make it more narrow at the front or make as low as possible, wider at the back of the seat, etc.

I replaced my headlight with a silverstar after the oem flashed out. Followed the easy 5-min method and it worked great. Glad I didn't follow factory manual for that one.

New back tire came in today at the shop, but I'm wondering why the front tire never got ordered... > I'll have that by next week.

I'll get the back mounted up this weekend, it'll be my 4th back tire, soon to be 3rd front tire in 3000 miles. All of the tires have their sides rubbed off and the rear have flat spots in the middles, not from burnouts. Just the way a tire should be.

And my (6 month expired) registration should be in the mail at the Pittsburg house when I get there Friday night.

And it was to be delivered today but I missed UPS guy.

I was thinking about throwing some Dr. Scholl's jell insoles under my stock seat when I get my bike . That would be a lot cheaper .

Received my Corbin seat today, I have had many Corbin's and as usual this is a quality built seat. I only had time for a short ride but so far so good, fits me and the bike well. The seat is firm and supportive but doesn't feel as firm as most Corbin's I have had over the years, some of them were very firm, almost hard. This one seems to have different padding or layering... time will tell and I will post up a review later after I get some miles on it.

Unboxed:

On the bike:

For some reason they sent me several of these... I have purchased 9 or 10 seats from them for various bikes I have had over the years but I'm not quite a dealer, LOL:

LOL... I have an authentic set of German ones... on my car. I have the Indian made ones on my wife's car, and they are every bit as loud and obnoxious as the old school German ones. These were labeled and sold as 139 dB. Whatever they are, they are attention getting! They may have another version out there, but the newer, less German ones are just as good at getting it done.

They wouldn't fit where the stock horn was, exactly. They bounced around and dented radiator fins... so... The new location is where they wound up.

You are 100% right about them being exposed there. Friday morning I rolled through a 4 foot wide puddle of MOTOR OIL in the middle of the road... with a tanker tractor trailer right behind me. By the time I could safely stop, the entire underside of the bike was dripping oil. Including the horns. A lot of 15% solution of Simple Green and a hose later, good as new. My seat may have a permanent stain in it now, but not from oil. Oil slicks suck on a bike.

As far as what I did today on my Ninjette? Nothing.

Yesterday I rode it to a local Kawi dealer, and traded for a new old stock 2009 ER-6N. The Ninjette is gone, long live the Er....

I loved the little red monster, but riding 2 up with my son (who loved it, too) was a bit too taxing. When they offered the Er for $4600, it was too good to pass up.

^ Nice bike, I actually would like a new ER6, I'm jealous.

I'll summarize my past few days into a single post.

Mounted Asian Cycle flush turn signals.
Wired up my GSXR mirrors.
Synced my carburetors.
Shimmed my carburetors (3 times - explanation below).
Ran out of fuel in the main tank for the first time (thanks to Kawasaki for the reserve),
Took some updated pictures.

I ended up doing the shim job 3 times. Why? Well simple, I did the carb sync and shims at the same time. Put it all back together, started her up and held up at about 3k for 15 seconds and then died. After multiple attempts and fiddling I killed the battery, had to charge it back up. Decided it had to be the shims, so I took it all apart, pulled the shims, and tried again. No-go, still wouldn't start up. now I realized it had to be something else I changed. Well turns out when doing the carb sync I mixed up the two of the hoses and had no vacuum pulling fuel into the carbs. Switched the lines, put it together, tried again. Worked fantastic! So what do you do when you realize the mod you just undid, wasn't the problem? You do the mod all over again! Anyway, shims done successfully, works perfectly - now onto the pics!

Close up, so you can see the signals.

Stance.

Got a ticket for doing 55 in a 45 in Ore City yesterday... I was barely speeding! Now I have to drive 140 miles back home (in my truck) to go to court on a Wednesday, pay about $110 for court fees, take a defensive driving course for $40, and miss a whole day at school because I got a ticket 10 miles from our house in Pittsburg.

It was right after the speed changed and I forgot to slow down by the time I passed the sign (I slowed down right after the sign).

Put my gauge back light LEDs in (yesterday) and even had a chance to try them out riding around last night. I'll try and get some pics of it tonight when it gets dark outside.

i found good spot on both sides of the bike, under the faring. on the left side there is a spot to bolt the horn bracket right to the bikes frame.

on the right side (picture above) i made a small bracket that extends to the radiator liquid reservoir bolt. this only works if you don't have frame sliders, since they get in the way.

Well it wasn't all today. More of my winter projects, but got my fender eliminator done, installed my spools, and added a powerlet outlet to power my iPhone.

Looks Great! What kind of Fender Eliminator did you use and where did you purchase it (price and time it took you would be good to know as well). I really want to do it to my bike...Yours turned out really nice
Great job!

Much quieter ride now. 2-Bros. did allow the engine to rev up much quicker, also loose much of the back pressure in the exhaust system. Happier neighbors for sure.
Is that an OEM color scheme? Your bike looks great! Too bad the oem cans don't look as good as the 2 bros (since they matched your bike) but function > form as always.

Its a hotboddies tag kit. It's $50 at Dennis Kirk or Motorcycle Superstore. Takes bout an hour give or take to assemble it. There were no instructions and the mini blinkers don't come with it. They were something I added. But from a DIY on here I figured it out.
