Was lookin at what my clutch lever works, and it's a lil lever thing I coulda pulled with my toe by accident ... I'd rather think that happened than my bike came out of the box with issues, but it does have the number 666 right from birth

I installed a new Puig Racing dark smoke windscreen on the Green 300 Wonderbike. This prompted a test ride....not totally satisfied. The stock screen airflow hits me mid chest and causes my helmet to want to lift...a bit disconcerting. But the airflow across my helmet was clean and quiet. With the new screen the airflow is higher...much more turbulence and noise at the helmet. All this makes me wish I was shorter on the bike but still 6'1 when I get off............

Let's see, gave her a complete bath, finally got around to repairing the crappy cowl paint job I did a few months ago, and reapplied the Tron wheel tape. Tomorrow, top off all fluids, check everything, and prep for this weekend's trackday! Yay!!

removed, airbox today, installed pod filter, installed manual CCT, Emissions block off plate, Nojima Full system, Shimmed needles, and jetted carbs.

Biked fired up sounded good. I am currently taking a break before i take it for a test ride.

Airbox came out no prob with DIY by Vex i believe. Dealing with the carbs was time consuming, I swear every manufacture uses the crappiest screws to hold the carb together, it never fails. Glad i saw this coming and ordered all replacement hex bolt screws for the carbs. Oh and i dropped one into the nook ontop of the case and it took me forever to get it out, probably the hardest part of all the work i did.

Cant wait to see how she runs...well actually i can, cuz im waiting right now, i'm freaking beat and my back is killing me

Guess that helps me decide, and means it will keep the wind off a 5'7" person. How's your riding posture, relaxed, half or full tuck?

I'd have to say modified relaxed..you know..some forward lean. I took a long ride today...with speeds up to 70....the air flow is quieter at the helmet for me with the stock screen but I think overall I am now pleased with the new Puig. It is hard to say where the main air flow is going to hit you...and of course that changes with your position....
If you do get one, please let me know what you think. I am hoping you will be pleased but who knows...this air flow with moto windscreens thing is more an art than a science............

Got it ready for work tomorrow. Considering selling it to move to a new 300. Should I be looking at the GTP plan?

Rode to work with no jacket linings for the first time today, 72degs at 3:30am makes for a nice commute.

Cleaned & relubed chain and its still looking new after 4000 miles. Been good sticking to my plan of lubing the chain every Monday since I got this new one on. Tires getting a bit low again so ill be looking to mount up another real soon.

How do you clean it that makes it look that pretty? The top/bottom/seals are all clean and shiny on mine, but the sides of the links are kinda messy and gross.

No, but really, how do you do it? I sit there and spend time scrubbing with a Kerosene soaked rag and it never comes out looking half that nice.

Ok fine ill tell my secret but only to you so keep it on the DL.

1. Start the bike on a center stand and let it idle in first
2. Stray enough pre solve to dampen the chain and continue to let it idle
3. Reapply the pre solve lightly a couple more time about a minute apart to replace the stuff dripping off the chain.
4. Using a medium fine brush like a tooth brush but bigger(not a grung brush) just hold it against the chain as it idles for a couple rotations. Repeat on all 4 sides.
5. Flush out the pre solve with a generous amount of wd40 and then let it continue spinning for another minute.
6. Turn off the bike and put it in neutral
7. With a rag gripped around the chain spin the wheel and get off as much WD40 as you can.
8. If you have compressed air as every motorcycle owner should holding about 6 inches away(to close and you'll blow the grease from the seals) blow off the chain.
9. Optional let it air dry for awhile(do this as I type)
10. Reapply you chain lube and ride.

Rode it to work on empty because my gas gauge said I had just enough and I didn't have time to stop at a gas station on the way to work. New most mileage on a single tank is now 252.4 and I still need to get back to a gas station after work.

Finally rode the damn thing to work. It's been off the street for about 3 weeks now. I felt rusty, but temps are great right now and I get to break in the new leather jacket just in time for tomorrow's trip to the light house (2.5 hrs away) with about 75 other bikers.
