tires upgrade.?
hi, good eve fellow ninja.
i just want to ask, what size are the maximum we can put for our rear tire? 160/60, 150/60, 140/70? i'm not into top speed concern, i'm more on looks. btw, i'm using our stock rims. TIA. |

150 and depending on brand/model it will pinch or have clearance issues with the chain guard. A 107 link chain, will solve the clearance issue but not the pinch. Search around the forums here, I believe the 150 michelins were a direct mount with the stock bits and little to no pinching.

@LoMBoY_21 - for info, the 150/60 Pirelli is no problem - I got it with a 4 inch rim.
But when you look for the widest one then go with the Battlax 140/70, since I've seen here that even the 130/70 Battlax looks as wide as my 150/60 Pirelli. With the 140 maybe there could be a clearance issue already (this idk)? And with the 160/60, like @csmith12 already said, you'll have a clearance issue with the chain (maybe not with the Pirelli since this is the smallest of all makes). |

I went with a BT003 140 on the rear and it's damn near perfect. Smooth transition and plenty of grip at lean. |
