Greetings from Barbados
I'm new to ninjette this week, and wanted to say thanks for all the great info and introduce myself. You can call me Floyd.
I'm from Bridgetown, Barbados and ride a '10 250R Special Edition (Kawasaki Green/Black/White) that has only 250 miles on it (and counting). I use her to commute during the week and take her out on the weekends to let the hair down. I've had Kawasakis before, but I move every 2 or 3 years and get a new bike each move. I've lived in China, the Bahamas and several spots in the U.S. If anyone wants to know what its like to ride in China (insanely dangerous, but a surprisingly active racing community) or the Caribbean (beautiful but slow), I'm your guy. Here is what a typical ride is like for me - beautiful, narrow, twisty, with blind corners:  I stumbed across ninjette a few times searching for information, and I've been so impressed with the group and good discussion, I thought I'd stop in regularly. I look forward to hanging out here and getting to know what seems to be a great community. |

Welcom Floyd.... I can see your issue about Barbados slow mo and blind curves. Its like every island lol.... too fast and your gonna end up in the sugar cane! Love Barbados, lovely island, wonderful trade winds and riding 365 days a year... lucky you! People are friendly and the food fantastic or so I thought lol

Thanks for the warm welcome. Yes, mostly slow riding here. Roads are pretty empty outside the city, just enough to lull one into a false sense of security around one of those blind corners and run the risk of others blowing stop signs b/c they rarely matter. It will take discipline to keep out of trouble.
In fact (teaser), I had an adventure on my ride this morning. Posting about it in ride report thread.
