I got knocked

Well, was hoping I'd never have to post in this forum topic, but hey, cagers man.

I Was leaving McDonalds drive through with a salad tucked in my jacket and I pulled into the turn lane to make a left, as I pulled up past the traffic that was stopped in the right turn lane, a blue taxi-van jerks from the right lane and slams into me. I was going about 15, the impact threw me off my bike into the oncoming lane (thankfully no one was coming) and I skidded a little bit. The van pulled into the parking lot and some employees called the cops. After the initial pain of the impact went away I refused an ambulance ride however I did make sure the police were on the scene.
The man claimed he had his blinker on and was making a turn into McDonald's however numerous eye-witnesses indicated that he did not have his blinker on and that his turn was impulsive and rash.

My knee/leg left a large dent in the side of his driver door and my helmet scuffed his driver side window. My fairings have some damage from the pavement and my right handlebar and front/back break levers are scratched and slightly bent. The steel bracket that holds my right peg to the bike is snapped in half and my peg is hanging at an awkward downward angle. My right blinker is snapped in half beyond repair.
Lucky for me I was wearing my boots, rugged jeans, full helmet, and my armored jacket so I escaped the crash with nothing more than a sore knee/hip and slight wiplash from hitting my head on his window.
Saddest part of it all is that my salad box was destroyed and I wasn't able to eat before work >.>

The guy has an insurance company called 'Hallmark Specialty' that Progressive (my insurer) hasn't heard of. So progressive told me that since this is probably a very localized, private insurer that the cab company uses simply to be legal (in missouri insurance is required) so we will probably be taking the company to court. I have comprehensive and collision so I'm completely covered of costs and such, Probably going to look at getting a new bike. I mean jiggles ****ing destroys himself on motorcycles, and he gets to upgrade, so why don't I?

What happened to the salad? I aim at those salad eating fags. Taxi probably did the same thing. Be a man and eat a burger and these things won't happen to you.

Vegetarian and biker doesn't go in the same sentence. You can be one or the other but not both.

Next you will probably say you don't drink beer.

As long as you're not both. Rumor has it that vegetarians started this "go green" movement.

Be careful around mcdonalds and busy fast food chains. I've witnessed several accidents working at a McD's restaurant.

By the time you graduate and do your internship Doctors will be making about the same as a plumber (thanks to Obamacare). All my friends who are Doctors are getting out early.

Maybe somewhere along the way you'll learn enough to realize how unhealthy it is for a omnivore to restrict his diet so badly.

So we found out this guy was fraudulent. Gave the cops completely fake info and his insurance company doesn't have a policy, they don't even have any policies that would cover the taxi company. So the police are taking the taxi company down for fraud and having unregistered taxis and a multitude of other things.

We're looking for the guy and it probably won't be too hard to locate the asshole. He'll go to jail for a bunch of stuff, my insurance is going to cover all my damage and such.

Yeah so this is becoming an ordeal

Damn, that sucks. One thing to have an uninsured motorist, but an entire company that people trust with their safety? Eek.

Glad Progressive is going to take care of you.

Damn, glad to hear that you made it out ok.

This jackhole not having insurance is exactly why insurance rates are so high in New Orleans and why I have full coverage on my truck even though it's an '04 and paid off. Hopefully Progressive won't jack your rates sky high since this wasn't your fault and he was illegal anyway.
