NJ/DE/Philly Riders

Just throwing this out there.. We have a group created on Facebook called "We Ride NJ" that has over 400 members.. It's not just Ninjettes, but a mix of everything from Ninjettes to Busas to whatever else you can think of.. Of the 2 group rides I've been on, I've been the only one on a 250R.. LOL!!

Group rides are set up via the FB page and we have several meeting spots.. With it being a broad group, there's always more than one meeting place and more than one ride each weekend.. I'd love to see some fellow Ninjette riders get in on the fun if they have the time.. If you're interested, post here and I'll get you added ASAP.. Any future group rides set up via the FB page will also be posted here as well for those who choose not to do the FB thing but might still be interested..

Anyone interested can send me a friend request via Facebook or simply PM me your FB name on this forum and I'll add you.. I will make sure to post about all organized group rides as soon as I can.. Some rides will be last-minute, such as a potential ride later today from Vineland (meeting at the WalMart on Landis Avenue) to the Cherry Hill CycleGear..

The weekend rides are usually a pretty large group of riders, and those are planned a week in advance typically.. They're generally set up by the administration of the FB group.. Rides can be set up by anyone though, such as the one we'll be doing today.. It doesn't matter if it's 4 riders or 40, it's nice to have people to ride with..

I commute between Valley Forge, PA and Brooklyn NY, at least twice a week.

During the week I commute between Hoboken, NJ and Brooklyn, NY.

Yeah commute is a b!tch, but my 04 Ninja 250 does it just fine.

I have a similar commute now.... but only twice a month. Get on the TP at rt29. I have yet to ride my bike. I dont even like driving on the Belt plus I have to go way out on the island.

Reading WWII weekend for 2015 is on June 5-7th.. plan your travels accordingly.

Few years ago, I rode out to check it out.
Probably one of the largest WWII era warbirds collection in the east coast.

Check out the video of B-29 bomber "FiFi" taking off:

Amazing collection of WWII era motorcycles:

V-twin, shaft-drive Indian:

Sidecar rigs, too:

Other attractions:

Only if you lived through that era and seen the suffering on all sides involved in the war..

Nothing stirs me like the P-51 Mustang.. Read up on that beast.. Under 150 days from drawing board to being in the air.. That's an amazing feat of design and building power..

We have a couple more events coming up that I'm going to post about.. Rather than continually making new threads, I'm just going to post them in this same thread..

------
Event : 2015 Asbury Park Ghost Ride
Dates : Sunday, June 7, 2015
Times : To Be Determined (Morning meetup)
Where : Asbury Park, NJ
------

This is an event still in planning, but wanted to give a heads-up as early as possible.. We will have several meet-up locations prior to the main event in Asbury Park depending upon where people are located.. We generally try to use large public locations such as the Deptford Mall (In front of the Sears), Vineland WalMart on Landis, Hamilton Mall (In front of Buffalo Wild Wings), etc. as our meet-up spots..

I'll post more details as they become available..
