new rider in Ottawa Ontario

just bought my first bike last week(2010 ninja 250r) loving it! been driving cars and trucks for 16 years so bit of of a jump. just want to say to all the riders in ottawa you guys are awesome!! so much help and great to talk to ! again thanks!!!

There's a couple of us 250 riders in Ottawa. We've actually got a thread going: http://www.ninjette.org/forums/showthread.php?t=70676

So far we've met twice, and so far it seems to be agreed upon Wednesday at 7:00 at the Tim Hortons on Bank St. right beside the Riverside bridge (Billings Bridge mall)...although that may be subject to change.

just want to say thanks for welcoming me! i got to say that in years of driving i never realized that the bike community was so great in ottawa.i think its awesome that when you see another rider you say "hi" that doesnt happen in a car! as for wednesday at tim hortons, i should be there!

I've got plans that Sunday so I won't be there. But I will be at the Wednesday meeting for sure. Didn't even realize the date was that close for the BBQ.

As for the fender eliminator *shrugs shoulders*. Check OGTC, otherwise check on-line. I haven't modded my bike at all so I don't know what's out there. You might want to talk to 08ninja250, as he races down at Calabogie, he might have some insight.
