I don't want to carry a lot of stuff, but I would like a little storage room. I've looked at a couple of motorcycle stores for tail packs, but everything looked bulky. I don't want a tank bag. These FastPacks from The Cycle Guys look like what I've been looking for - no straps, fastens to passenger seat, folds out of the way when not it use - but I wondered if anyone has any experience with them? Don't want to put my money into something that doesn't work the way it should!!

I've got one that I've been using for about 3 years now (Awesome fun fact- the Ninja 250 and the SV650 use the same size bag, so I didn't have to buy a new one when I got a new street bike
![]() My only negatives are that, after 3 years of california sunshine, the black of the cloth that wraps around the seat is a little sunbleached, and the seat takes some effort to get back on after putting the bag on it. So basically, I have no real complaints All in all, really great and extremely useful product. Trumps wearing a backpack any day Oh, and this picture is from a REALLY long time ago, so pay no attention to the laughable technique and still totally stock bike, but here's what it looks like on and half full: |

I also have it and love it. No one ever notices it when it's folded down. People always like it and ask about it when I open it up. There's no real way to adjust to size for different loads, so when fully expanded, your items might move around a bit, but I've never had an issue with it. Folded down, it'll hold small stuff like keys, a wallet, and cell phone. I usually have it zipped partially (middle picture) for carrying water and/or a snack for canyon riding. Hasn't happened to mine yet, but I've read about a couple other people experiencing fading, as Tiffani has.

I've been begging them to make them in different colors as a more functional solo seat cowl alternative.

Mine is also faded over the past 3 years. It is a pain to zip it up and down when going back and forth to work. Don't use it much any more once I got saddle bags.

which saddle bags did you go with? Looking for something that I can just leave on the bike instead of taking it off and on. Something that will replace my backpack

Does anyone else have trouble installing the FastPack? The back seat doesn't seem to want to go back on with it on. Or do you really have to jam that seat down?

![]() You have to keep the circled part of the seat uncovered, because it catches on the subframe in the trunk. It also helps a lot to use to key when putting it back on. You'll get it down. |

Thanks guys I will give it another try with that pattern. And it worked! Thanks for you help. That pic of the underside of the seat helped too.

Little review:
I've had this thing 3/4 months now. It beats the hell out of backpacks and tank bags. So impressed with it that I'm going to buy another spare incase I wear this one out and then can't get hold of another. The zip on it is really strong. I use this bag every time I ride and so far it has shown no signs of wear. The storage space is deceptively huge. It doesn't look like it can hold that much in the pictures, but I've managed to cram lots into it. Highly recommend this to anyone with a ninjette. My only gripe is that it's a tight fit to get on the bike. It's hard to get the seat on once you've fitted the fastpack to it. I actually slightly damaged my bag a bit while trying to get it on the bike. You only have to deal with that faff once though, so it's not so bad. |

Can someone measure their passenger seat?
I don't have my bike yet and I want to get this bag:
http://www.thecycleguys.com/ninja-250-08-12/ I want to know if it'll fit. Is the rear seat similar to the 250? |

So, what's the verdict? Does this fit the 300 or not? I am getting conflicting answers of yes and no. Anyone tried it on the 300 at all yet?

I HAVE to get one of these..................just the other day I was riding when it was really windy out and the wind got a hold of the zipper on my backpack and unzipped it half way. Luckily I only lost one item out of my bag and it wasn't a big deal, but my wallet, phone, etc. was in that same pouch. No idea how I didn't lose them..........

Regarding the fading issue on the side fabric on FastPack tail bags, I recommend you use a UV sunblock fabric spray, available at most fabric stores. Any black fabric left out in the sun a long time will fade, but the UV sunblock spray once a year keeps things looking good!

Picked one of these up recently. PIA to get the seat back on at first but you do get the hang of it. It's not as sturdy when fully expanded so I might cut out some cardboard shaped to fit and that I can fold up and carry it in the pack when I don't need the expansion.

Yep, it's a handy bag to place small things in, a small lunch, water bottle, etc. It may test your patience the first time you try to snap the rear seat back into place with the bag fitted. It's a pain in the ass until you get the hang of it. The first time, I was ready to bring it back to the store and yell in frustration "Splain to me why this no work!"

I picked one up awhile back. It was very hard to get on at first and I was a bit frustrated. The trick is to not put it on so tight, it just needs to be loose and then you are good to go. I really love this bag for its low profile and it works rather nicely.

Haven't tried it but if using a plastic water bottle as a guide, I'd say probably yes. I can confirm next time I'm in the same place where my bike is stored unless someone beats me to it.
