****ing cagers!

I'm on a road about to turn right to approach a roundabout, this means I have to cross over a lane of traffic coming the other way, a guy from the right turns left onto the road i'm about to turn onto without indicating I jam on my brakes and down I go! Will upload the video later.....

Looks like my indicators punched a hole through my fairings and that's it for damage, I managed to kinda grab it but down it went.

Link to original page on YouTube.

On reflection, looking at the video it looks very slow and tame, I think that's in part to do with the wide angle lens, i'd had expected him to have been going half the speed considering he was going over a blind zebra crossing. I like how I don't swear and stay very British.

I'm all right thanks, a little shook up, i'll have to wait till morning to see the damage, I think i've gotten away with just braking the right fairing, I just watched the video, the guy indicated but he's going way too fast if I hadn't have braked it would have been a close one, the dick-head didn't even stop to see if I was all right.

If the hole isn't that big you canjust put a flush mount over it. Stock turnsignals always do that I ****ing hate them their ugly anyways so I took em off. I got mine of eBay for 12$ someone here sells them for 60 with the diode cable thingyy. Or you can just get the diode thingy from him for 15$ and ebday ones

I think / HOPE this is the extent of the damage.

I left it original size so it's easier to see the damage, it's hard to take a shot when it's pitch black outside too!

I think the damage is all superficial, over the weekend I shall get some more epoxy and I will fibreglass the inside of the crack nice and strong so structurally it'll be sound.

There is a DIY on here somewhere that shows using the stock stuff to make flushmounts. I have been looking for it for 3 days. Anyone got it? Could be useful for him as well as me.

thanks....

Yeah, I went back to the scene of the crime, I worked out what happened, I was about to pull off into the 5mph zone when that dude is doing at least 20 so I put on the brakes, but their is an inch of lip from the pavement to the road of which my tyre stopped on, that caused the wheel to pop to the side as I had little grip and the wheel was turning I just lost it, it's less the cars fault than mine tbf, i've pulled out of that supermarket hundreds of times with no problems, it's just that one time it went, I don't think I could have done anything to save it, it just happened.

Edit: plus the roads were wet, and it's below freezing and I had just finished work and I was tired, and the moons gravitatonal pull was out of alignment and a butterfly flapped its wings in the amazon.

Cold tires, wet, maybe ice. Ask me how I know....
