K, guy on dirt bike went up onto sidewalk to avoid puddle?

And did they rear end the suv, since it didn't stop and was gone by the time they got their bikes up.

What the hell happened??

Certainly backs up my cardinal rule:
"Distance is Control"

looks like the suv braked just as they were looking at each other as they finished their stunt trick, maybe on purpose in which case driving off quickly and not dong details would make sense

@NevadaWolf: There are 2 (presumably very young guys) riding up the ass of a people carrier (SUV). One of them is darting on and off the pavement for fun. The driver of the people carrier brakes and both [dopey] riders go into the back of it before tipping over in a bemused and humorous fashion.

Its the "go into the back" that I am wondering about. Even if it was a brake check, two bikes hitting the back of a vehicle must cause some damage and the driver can fault them for following too close. They'd pay for the damage.

So why did the SUV leave without stopping?

Looks more like the SUV braked (intentionally or not), the bikes panicked and they both flopped over without hitting the car in front, probably due to the mentality "I had to lay it down."

From what I can see in the video (hard to tell as the dashcam is at some distance) the two riders were goofing around and weaving behind the SUV, the SUV nailed the brakes, and the two riders panic-braked and dropped their bikes. I don't think you can be 100% sure, but I don't think the SUV was hit.

The driver hesitated, and thought (perhaps wisely in this case) that he should leave before things escalated, and left.
