Greetings all
I started riding over forty yrears ago. Been all over the lower forty-eight on some Harley Sportsters and the Yukon and Alaska on my KLR 650. I don't own a car and ride everyday. But everyday feels like the first time. I just can't get enough. I ran across a few ride reports over at ADVRIDER by folks taking long trips on these 250's and I started getting more and more curious about them. I've always ridden mostly naked bikes and usually made fun of tupperware but I realized that this was something else. They appeal to me in many ways. I'm highly motivated to ride as far as possible for the buck for one thing, and as you all already know the ninjette is obviously the ultimate ansewer to that. I also like the fact that many folks riding these bikes are new riders. I like new riders. The fresh enthusiasm, the excitement. I've always planned to become a rider coach someday. Then there are the veteran riders that have moved away from bigger (and more expensive behemoths). It takes a lot of DILLIGAF to ride a so called starter bike. I'm used to all that already. Sportsters don't get much respect from the rest of the HD sheep and KLR's well are you kidding? So many many things about the ninjette just started to apeal to me more and more but I just coudn't be sure something so small could really do what I do with a motorcycle. Long trips anyway. But I finally had a chance to ride one for about four hours a few weeks ago and WOW, all of my concerns have been blown away. This is my next bike and for sure. The KLR will always be very important and essential to my life but I have certain now that I will be riding a ninjette to new levels of moto bliss in the future. And looking forward to meeting as many of the true rebels out there as possible. Ben |
