Love it. Looks like a great ride.

I enjoy watching the laps of large bikes and small bikes on tight tracks. They get similar times, but they do it so differently.

At the same time I live in Canada. Maybe rules are different here? Doubt it but you never know. There isn't a track near me anyways...

Huh? That has nothing to do with anything.

I'm saying if you want to go to the track, borrow leathers if you don't want to buy them. Also, most tracks have some form of leather rentals where you can rent them for the day.

It's well worth the hassle. Do yourself a favor and go at least once. Find a track rat, buddy up with them, and they'll do everything they can to get you on the track.

csmith12 got me to finally go to the track. He even let me borrow his back protector and spare leather suit so I could do it. A hassle for both of us? Yes. Worth it? Most definitely.

Not to take the wind out of everyone's sails but, passing a tub of lard on a litre bike isn't very challenging. Now slapping him on the back, as you pass, and then flippin him off is priceless!

Rules can vary between tack day orgs, so check around. Some do allow for textile suits in the Novice or C group and rentals might be an option. And... "near me" is relative to how much you want to go. It's common for me to drive 4.5 hours each way 10 times per year to get to my favorite track.

Try living in Boston and having to go to Florida, California, and everything in between. I did it for years and loved it.

For me the closest track is 800 miles from home... But it's about a 6hr drive from my dad's factory up north, so whenever I'm there(and there's a track day) I drive down.
