They need to stop with these stupid SE colour schemes and stick to solid colours.
Anyone know when they will unveil the new colours for the supersports? I would love a 636 in red...

Folks here in Asia have not been thrilled with the new colors either

We have all three, Green,White & Orange

The good thing is fairings from 2013 Kawasaki are cheap here especially if you take them without decals

So some are buying the White & basically converting it to all black
using the 2013 fairings

The fairings are so bulky and ugly, they had to put some crazy paint schemes to make it look better.

I agree yo, the white one isn't too bad. It'd be better with a white gas tank, but I still like it

I do use those bearings. They're pretty good at getting rid of the slop in the stem, but when all things are considered, they're really just bearings.

I think I can guess in one guess who it is

I remember that thread, lol.

Was going to buy them based on the durability and fitment claims.
Honestly if the piece was that cheap, why not include it from the factory.?

Haha, I also know who it is. Actually it's not hard to Google the issue and run across the thread from another forum to figure out who the guilty party is.

I still do, but that report to NHTSA wasn't from me.

Guilty of what exactly? Fixing the factory's OEM substandard bearings? Apparently, somebody else did it long before I did, thus the kit. Why nobody else seems to mind the steering slop is the mystery. Ignorance is bliss I suppose?

Guilty of nothing at all, don't worry! 75% of entertainment on forums is needling those that have interesting or unique opinions to share. You appreciate decent steering head bearings, we get it.

I thought I felt the searing heat of hot tar and feathers being prepared!

I am used to a dramatically more precision from a decade of KTM/Husqvarna street bikes, super moto and MX race bikes. How guys ride these Kaws (cows) with that head slop I'll never get. "You only understand the best you've tried" is commonly applied to suspension mods/adjustments. I think the same applies here. Plenty don't seem to notice the steering issue at all. It isn't normal but you've heard my opinion already.

My decel steering wobble has returned about 20% of the time, but the sticky Conti race/sumoto tire on the front is hammered from heavy braking and hard steering. Quite a bit of serious cupping so business as usual. The frame solidity is still there post bearing swap. A fresh tire will erase the occasional wobble again for 2500 miles or so.

Not that I know of (spec changes)...mighta fixed the popping out upper fairing people are talking about? Kawi's holding both the US Dealer meeting and the Gaslamp Takeover this week in SD, so we'll see!

Wonder if we'll be getting the same colors as Australia again...

Well US Site is updated - aside from the price increases on all the non-ABS...the ABS equipped SE price stayed the same

Hmm - now ABS is only a $300 bump from the non-ABS versions. Would be very hard to turn down at this point, if only they released the ABS versions in better colors.

EDIT: Just saw the the ABS non-SE is now offered in Black, which probably will be reasonably attractive to folks. But they've also dropped the all-white from all versions, which seems surprising as well.

We're exclusive now But would you have considered another 300 if the PS White were available with ABS (or selling your non-ABS one)?

I find it strange that there aren't more options for solids (red, green, grey etc). At least just one more to supplement the black. Instead, it seems that they are offering all the colors this year with an optional ABS trim.

Damn, I hated the color options for the 2014s so much, I bought the last 2013 they had in stock. Too gaudy for my taste.

Strange they dropped the white. It seemed to be the favorite and fastest selling paint scheme around here any how.

My gf had to drive hours to find a dealer that had white when she got hers.

The orange is not available in the US so luckily that's one less mess you'll be seeing!
