I got a pair of the SP-8 gloves for MSF. If for some reason I don't ride...I'll just use them for bicycling.

Not yet. I ordered them, but I didn't know that "eChecks" take over a week to clear, so I have to wait till then. Next time I'll just put $100 on my Paypal account, which will take a few days to transfer as well.

I hate shopping online.

It seems fine for everyone else, but I've run into a couple stupid issues. Can't say what they are.

I can't say it's a problem but others may feel different. In a dispute, paypal will put the funds in escrow until the matter is resolved. It took 45 days was my last dispute and it sucked to go without the $$ or the item.

I still use them every day.

I'm not eighteen so I don't have one.

I will put up a review of Iron Pony once the deal closes. So far, they great, and respond to my messages. I love them.

Haha cool man....they are a great company. They started out as a teeny tiny repair shop and now it's a 100,000 sqft superstore. They are now saying that store is too small now.

Lol. I hope they don't turn into something like motorcycle superstore. I'm thinking about getting the SM-5's, since it's just such a good deal. Even though I don't ride yet, it's too good to pass up.

For those of you shopping ironpony.com from Canada:

The SMX-5 boots sell for ~$230 in Ontario. I purchased them from IronPony for $150 plus the $20 surcharge for shipments to Canada. They arrived via Canada Post, who charged me ~$60 in duties and import fees. So my total cost ended up being ~$230, which is the same price I could have bought them here for in Ontario.

That being said, if I had bought them here I would have had to pay 13% sales tax on top of the $230, so in the grand scheme of things I saved $30!

Customer service from ironpony was great and shipment was relatively quick! Too bad about the duties, but that's not ironpony's fault and I solely blame the Canadian government!

Overall, I had a good purchase experience and still saved a bit of money!

Why don't you just buy them online, and exchange if they don't fit

Not at all. No worries mate.

I look at like this and it's the reason I ride... "Sometimes life is about the journey, not the destination." I am sure that has been said before, if not, I want 100% credit!

I understand. I didn't know you were taking the bike...not sure why I didn't assume that. I asked because it would've have cost a lot, not so much now.

So i'm a newb here and looking at getting some of the s-mx 5 boots but not sure on how the sizing works? All i see for options are 39-50 (missing a few numbers in between) but i am only used to using sizes like 11.5 for shoes? Any advice on what an 11.5 would be in the boots?

Squalo, thanks for the tip! I'll keep that in mind next time. Looking at a pair of pants next.

Redline, here's a helpful sizing chart:
http://www.motorcyclegear.com/street...cle_boots.html

I purchased a size 44 and they fit great. Snug enough, but still comfortable. For reference, I wear size 9 in Converse Chuck Taylors and 9.5 in Nike Free Runs
