Got a early Christmas present! And now its cold. :(

Well I got the my first bike about 2 weeks ago. A 2008 Red Kawi Ninja 250r with 8k on the clock. Planning on taking the MSF course in the spring. I have been meaning to say hello here, but I been out riding so much I kept forgetting.

And now its about 50* here and I have been reading about Winterizing... That sucks.

Here are some pics. And I got the faster-est-ist color!

SVBS: The plastic was not cut, the previous owner installed the sliders though.

Well the temp isn't the bad part really, it's all the crazy gusts of wind blowing ALL damn day! (arggg!) Almost got pushed into a car the other day. Considering I have only put on about 400 miles in about a week, I am fairly new to this. You get enough of a rush as is, but then the wind blowing you to the left and right makes my heart wanna skip beats.

The bike hasn't been laid down yet, so I dont wanna take my chances with extra distractions. Hope all that made sense.

(not to mention everyone says the stock tires suck and I still dont even know at which point they heat up enough to feel safe

Welcome Like the color...looks very nice. I know what you mean about the gusts of wind. Living by the beach there is always a breeze or a bridge that you have to cross that makes the breeze even stronger so I had to learn to ride with the breeze. If the breeze is steady its not so bad, but those strong gusts will push you...Drive safely and always wear a helmet

I think I have got used to the wind after getting some more time in on it, just gotta relax and lean down and its no problem after that.

All hail to our new member. I couldn't help but notice a little scrape on the knee of the jeans -- not unlike I received recently in little tipover. Problems already in first two weeks?

Its black, that's what I recommend. It looks nicer plus its not like the windshield goes up high enough to block your vision even if your leaning down.
