sold the ninjette
I put my ninja on CL yesterday and ended up selling it to some kid by the end of the day. Now my wife might finally get off my ass about finishing her van. Now I will just be able to ride the shadow until I can save up the money for a 650, cuz after I sat on one at the dealership a few months ago I knew I had to have one. I just fit on it way better than the 250. I will however miss the little ninjette. And to top it all off I sold it for almost 300 more than I paid for it a year ago.

Get a piggy bank and start putting all your spare change in there. You'll be surprised how quickly it adds up.

The van is either going to the exhaust shop or im buying a new welder. So it wont be that hard of a fix. I had to leave my helmet with the guy that bought it so we both are getting new helmets out of the money I got for the ninjette. I still have the shadow to ride so im not completely out of riding for the season it just wont be as spirited as I would be on the ninjette. The 650 will probably have to wait till next year. Maybe by the end of the year I will have enough cash to go buy one. I would really like to buy it in the off season when they are cheaper.

Personally don't like the aesthetics of the 1000. Plus I got my bandit mask 650 like I originally wanted!
Good luck on your hunt for a 650!

What year 650 are you aiming for? Personally, I really love the 08-11's (I'm assuming you mean the 650r). As for the Shadow, my best friends Dad is looking into getting one. Have any advice on getting a used one (best years, worst years, etc)? I don't know much about the bike unfortunately.

I want to get a brand new 650. As for the shadow The 04 and newer I believe is shaft driven which has its pros and cons. Mine is an 03 and chain driven which I prefer. They are a really good bike and very comfortable at least with the corbin seat on it. Im 6foot and I am trying to save up for some kickback risers. When it comes time to do the valve adjustments make sure you do plugs too cuz there are 4 and the outside 2 are easy but there are another 2 on top of the engine and a plug socket will not fit down in there with the valve cover on. But they are really easy to adjust the valves on.
