Newbie in SD

Just wanted to say "Hello all" and introduce myself. I live in the Black Hills of South Dakota. My kids are grown and in college, so now it's time for ME to have fun and do the things I want to do.

Anyway, I was a dirt bike girl until an accident that had me sidelined for a year. After looking at the Ninja 250 for a few years, I finally rode one. Then I had to bring it home. I was nervous to be back on a motorcycle, but this bike is so newbie-friendly, I am not worried that it'll get away from me. I absolutely love it and I can't wait to put more miles on. If only I didn't have to work..
The tips and information I have gathered here have certainly helped me already. I sincerely appreciate all who share their knowledge and experiences.
Quick question - and it's probably been addressed already and I just haven't found the thread. I need a jacket that is made for a shorter, bustier woman. When I get one to fit over the "girls", it's too big in the waist and usually rides up under my neck, which is very uncomfortable with the helmet and all.

I have a Scorpion right now, and it's nice, but not as comfortable as it could be. I appreciate any suggestions.

Definitely post up in the Gear section for any info on some potential jackets. There are a couple threads (linked below), but none of them are all-encompassing. You could certainly tag on to one of those, or start a new one; your choice.

But welcome from San Diego! I was born in Rapid back in 1992, and have lived in SD all my life. (San Diego that is).

Thanks everyone! I too am glad I found this site. Simply amazing.

I will check the threads and also go to the local bike shops to see if they carry the Joe Rocket one mentioned.

I would love to be in San Diego with the nice weather and actual tracks you can go ride/learn on. Alas, I am in small town USA without tracks and our four seasons.

You all rock and I'm glad to be able to communicate with fellow Ninja enthusiasts.
