Question 250cc Passengers?

Does anyone ever carry passengers with them on a 250? I know the limit is 300+/- lbs...I mean wouldn't be a problem if yer into taking anorexic chicks for rides.

I think it's actually 375. The bike feels tremendously underpowered, stopping distances are greatly increased, etc. I would not do it on a long ride, or very frequently.

My xgf used to ride with me a lot. Never had any problems with the bike.

I weight about 155 and she probably weighed about 115...so 270ish total.

Acceleration and braking are definitely affected, however it's not bad. When your carrying a passenger, you're going to naturally ride slower and more cautiously. You're not going to floor the bike with a passenger, so acceleration isn't really a problem. Braking is most noticed, but since your generally riding a bit slower and more relaxed, you should have plenty of time to brake.

For me the 250 handled passengers just fine...thought as I said, I only weigh in the 150s, and the heaviest girl I have had on has probably been 130ish.

I usually on my have my daughter with me, all 30 pounds of cute. I did ride to a park once with my daughter and wife, behind and in front of me respectively. Probably about 350 pounds or so all together. 99% of the time it's just me.

I never ride 2-up. My wife doesn't like it. lol

I've actually been thinking about converting it to a single seater with a custom saddle and a fiberglass cover.

I don't know who I'd go to around here for fiberglass work. I'll need to research it.

Doesn't having a motorcycle between their legs make them all hot to some extent?

He's from Texas. Nuff said

I'd never two up on my 250 for what the first person said. Bad acceleration, bad stopping distances. I even took the passenger mounts and pegs off to make it look cleaner.

see the thread called 2 up riding. Not sure if legal in US but obviously legal in some other countries.
