Glad you're OK. Turn 7 is a bit of a weird place to crash; most folks seem to have more trouble with 8 or 9...

Actually it was the corner I had the most difficulty with at the track, never got comfortable with it.

Dude it totally looked like you panicked and target fixated on the rumble strip I was there so you'll have to give me your own opinion but I looked like you just needed to keep it leaned and you would have been right on the money.

Bet your glad you put those race plastics on now right

How'd the helimot suit hold up?

That is what happened. When I missed my line I was like aw **** this'll be close. Looked right at the rumble strip and was like yep thats where I'm going, lets see if I can ride this ou... oh ****.

If I could do it over I'm pretty sure it'd be an easy save.

Thank god for those race plastics lol

Suits dirty, thats it, saved my ass!

Yeah it looked like you went over the bars and maybe did the 60mph cartwheel of doom for a moment. Count yourself lucky you didn't get hurt because that wasn't no simple lowside.

Shame you crashed That looked like some great, fast riding until that point. Was there anyone behind you who got it on film so you/we can get a clearer picture of what happened?

I love that track btw. I used to listen to that band a lot. Hearing those lyrics; I wonder how many metal bands wouldn't exist if their were less parents out there that treated their kids like sh*t. This music is probably the only good thing that came out of his childhood.

definitely looks like you were anticipating the corner and turning in too early.

I think the guys behind me were pretty far behind me, you can hear them pass after the camera comes to a stop and the guy who was directly behind me came up to me afterwards and told me all he saw was a bike in the middle of the track lol

Funny thing about that song, as I was driving home from the track it came on in Pandora, and I was like ohhh this could work. Downloaded it from iTunes and listened to it another 15-20 times till I came up with a video mock up in my mind.

I don't think the dirt or pavement would have made much of a difference, although I suppose my leathers are less damaged due to the dirt.

I use power director 12

A big issue with my riding is I turn in too early until I get comfortable with the track. All day I was turning in too early on that corner and when I got distracted I really messed up.

Gna have to skip at least one race, hopefully only one though, depends how much it'll cost to repair my bike.

Really sucks because my original goal for racing was to complete an entire race season, it then evolved into get at least 3rd in two classes in terms of points. Now that I'll have lost points from two races I'm not sure that goal is possible.

Oh well, guess I'll have to try again next year?

charging the corner usually means your hand is quicker than your vision so back down the pace until your vision can recognize your marks quicker. or maybe you just aren't turning in hard enough? cold front tire insecurity? i like to turn in really hard because it makes me feel cool. but it makes your front push and rear slide out like a mother when you don't transition away from gas slow enough.
