Plasti Dip question

Has anyone tried Plasti Dip paint on race fairings? If so, how is it holding up? I'm curious about any abuse in minor lowside scrapes...peel/repair, repaint?

It holds up ok on areas where your physical contact is low or 0%. DO NOT expect it to hold up well on the tank and side fairings where you knee comes into contact with the bike.

I have.

Durability is not great.

I haven't crashed, but it tears and rubs off easily. Also gets dirty easily, but cleaning it is no big deal.

At best, a temporary thing.

I dipped my race fairings on my 600. Held up very well for a full year. Even in the rain, it held up. The one crash I had, a bit of it was scraped off. I just sprayed the area again and it looked like new.

CSmith pointed out the major drawbacks. Another issue is that you can put any tape on it; it just doesn't stick.

mine held up for a few races before i wrecked. Honestly even after the paint held up pretty good. Enough that I plan to just scuff up the old plasti dip and paint over it.
