Fastener Torque Specs

Hey All!

Hoping to get a group effort involved towards updating a skeleton page just created on the Wiki. I know, I know... borrible formatting but it's a start! If you know torque specification on various nuts and bolts on the Ninjette, or simply want to go in a clean it up, update the wiki page!

http://www.ninjette.org/wiki/Fastene...Specifications

Those without shop manuals will greatly benefit!

Cheers!

Hi Mr. Finder - take a look at it again and see if that's what you were wanting... if not, I can make changes

im confused, you have FT.LBS listed on some things (bold top listings)

but right under it says IN.LBS ... so which is it? or what is IN.LBS = FT.LBS?

I need a IN.LBS torque wrench too now?

Torque
N*M | kgf*M | ft*lb

you do not need to buy a new tq wrench as 1 ftlbs =12 inlbs so if your tq is120 inlbs thats 10 ftlbs

If you're looking at the ft.lbs column and it says in.lbs next to it, it's in in.lbs. If it doesn't say anything and is just a number, then it's in ft.lbs.

Engine Sprocket Cover Bolts are 87 in.lb (7.25 ft.lb) but what about thee Above part?

wait i think its 104 in.lb (8.6 ft.lb)?

also Shift Pedal Mounting Bolt (18 ft.lb) thats the hex bolt that ppl bitch about coming lose or off and using blue locktite on?

Im asking cuz soon (weather is nice enuff) im gonna take off teh front sprocket cover, to be able to Clean all the grim/junk off! and inspect the front sprocket for wear!
