New from D.C. metro area

Hi there

I have an '09 Ninja 250 special edition, have had it for about 2 months now. I'm a newbie to motorcycle riding but I have become very comfortable with the bike thus far. I got the bike with 400 miles on it and right now the od is at about 1200 so I only have about 800 miles of expierence. The majority of it being freeway/highway riding. I haven't taken the BRC yet but I am scheduled to the first day in August.

Home for me is in Folsom, California but I am in the Navy so I am stationed out here in D.C. on Joint Base Anacostia (formerly Bolling AFB). Although this will probably end up being my last command before I get out.

I have come to love my first little Ninja over the past 2 months and was hoping to get some gruop rides in down here in this area and find some nice backroads.

I caaaaaaaan't wait to get back to Cali tho (namely SoCal/San Diego area) and ride those beautiful scenic roads next to the ocean

Hey, just a heads up I wont be available to do any serious riding until after July 24th. If we could set something up then that would be awesome, so I could tag along.

In about a month or so me and a bunch of my buddies are going up to lake anna and were gonna rent a couple cabins and a pontoon boat. I was talking to my friend about the drive there since he's been before and he was saying how it would be a great motorcycle ride and there were lots of twisties and foresty/scenic areas on the way. Everybody else will be in cars but I am gonna load my stuff up with them and ride my motorcycle. So I can't wait for that either.
