Ninja Owner in Milpitas, CA

Hello All......following newbie protocol :laughing

I recently and am fortunate to have picked up a used 09 Blue Ninja 250r w/ 1400 miles. The previous owner had already added on a whole bunch of goodies, so all I have to do is ride it and enjoy every minute of it

I am not completely new to the Ninja, as I had a pre-model (2002) some years ago, but sold it to purchase a race bike.

Between then and now, I have voiced of one day getting another. Well, that day happened last weekend just after selling my Honda CBR 150r. All I can say is I am a proud owner and happy to be on another Ninja 2fiddy

Welcome to the boards from a former Californian. San Jose to be exact.

Good luck. There are a lot of newbie rides offered on some other forums and I know one of them sometimes starts at the starbucks on calaveras. Not the one by the old library but on the other side of 680. Gah I forget what road that is right there...

Not sure how long ago you left the Bay Area / CA, but I do know of an individual that hosts Group Rides that often times stage / start at the same Starbux you mention.....for their East Bay ride through Calaveras, Palomeras, Redwood, Skyline, Grizzly Peak.

In fact, I joined one of his rides today for the first time. Although this ride started at the Snell Starbux (Snellbux) in San Jose. The route: Santa Teresa, around Uvas reservoir, up through Hecker Pass, Soquel / Old San Jose Hwy, down through Old Santa Cruz Hwy.

In short; a fun, safe and organized ride (5 different groups [8 riders each] of level / pace).

That sounds like a Turtle/Rene ride.. A good group. He does the one over in Milpitas too.

He's who I started group riding with back in 2006. And that about sums up when I was in CA too. I moved to MD in 2007.
