Just bought a new 250 race bike...

...to keep my Ninjette company.

A Moriwaki MD250 (125 GP bike). Now I can ride in two 250 classes!

Wow Sean! Congratulations on the new bike. I remember reading a review of these about a year ago or so and thinking it would be pretty awesome. This gets to run in the 125GP class right?

I finally picked up an 08 250R, so I hope to be able to join you guys in the Ninja Cup next season. That looked like a blast! I still have a lot of reading to do before I decide on which parts to use on the bike. Should be a fun winter converting it for race use.

Man those little kids in the USGPRU run these and they're running close to the same time as liter bikes and 600s. Its so terrible to watch some little 12 year old blow by you mid corner and off into the distance in a cloud of blue smoke...

a properly tuned/set up 125gp bike makes 43-46 hp, and weighs a little less...... Their just harder to ride, and easier to maintain/rebuild. GP's went the way of the 4 stroke, so everyone else felt they needed to as well. Regardless of my mini rant, very, VERY cool ride.... Enjoy! I know i would......8)

Sorry to bring back the thread from long ago. But I'm curious....

What did you think of the Moriwaki after Round 1? Crazy fun?

Yes, the Mori is crazy fun. I had a great, sunny day at the Ridge with it, and a week later a rainy, cold race at Pacific with it.

Unfortunately, I had to miss the last 2 races because my motor ate it's exhaust valves. Glad I put the slipper clutch in, because the motor went from 13k to zero real fast!

The engine is apart now, parts on order (everything but the cases and tranny), and I should have it back for the next round.

Oh no! That's a major bummer about dropping a valve. All I have to do is repaint my bike before the next round, and I'm struggling to find the time for that. I was doing volunteer stuff on Saturday, so I didn't have a chance to stop by the pits at all. I'll swing by next time. Hopefully the weather is a little more cooperative this time around!

Yes, fingers crossed on the weather. I need to do some bodywork after dropping my Ninjette in practice on Saturday, but the duct tape may have to last until after next round. The Mori repairs will be taking priority since the Ninjette is still fully functional.

Hope to see you next round.
