I tried to get a pic the other day, but wasn't fast enough. I DID make it a great teaching-point to my 9yo son about motorcycle gear and safety though.

Saw a young-looking guy on a small cruiser riding through town wearing boat shoes, khaki shorts, tucked in orange tshirt, no gloves and a half/WWII style helmet.

One guy with nike sandals on a moped. Lol

Another on a cruiser in a rainy day with shorts, no gloves, and a open face half helmet. This was a large squidy

And last but not least, me back from club practice (why i have my shorts and nike socks and jacket) to find my cousins visiting and told me to do a wheelie for them to take pictures of, it was to tempting and i did it with no gear at all (in my driveway) .... shame on me.

My Uncle would always ride his Harley with flip-flops, tang top, shorts, no gloves and an eggshell helmet (and that was only because we're in NJ where its the law.) Thank god he never crashed.
I'll have to keep a look out for squids from now on!

Caught a school of squids sitting and talking at gas station... Only about half of them had helmets, the only other protective gear I saw was one guy with a back guard...

From what I could tell no bike smaller than a 600...

Pleased in the quality of my first squid catch.

I had one get away from me yesterday before I could catch a pic.

Setting: 85f Sunny and Hot day in Memphis, around 4:30pm
Top down he was wearing a flat black helmet, black tshirt, no gloves, blue jeans, but Nice race boots.

So if he were concerned about being too hot, why wear black? If you are not concerned with getting hurt, why wear boots? This guy was a cluster-fk of confusion...

No picture, just an impeachment:

Bike: Red Ninja 2007 doing 95~100 mph around 7:30 am, heading South on I-95, mile 74.

Rider: Blonde guy, no helmet, no gloves, no boots, no gear, just sunglasses and casual clothes-shoes.

Traffic: Medium morning traffic / Rider constantly switching lanes and lane-splitting (illegal in Florida) to overpass vehicles moving along at ~80 mph.

Me: Feeling slow and over-protected while using the HOV lane (which was semi-empty and available to this guy).

Hope he finds Ninjette.org before is too late.

Just about everyone on sportbikes here is a squid. I passed a guy, looked like he was on a CBR, but the rear end looked like a GSX-R, so idk what he was riding. He pulled up next to me trying to talk but I don't associate with squids :P

I saw about a half a dozen riders this morning on my way to work and only one of them was wearing proper gear. The rest were in t-shirts, jeans, no gloves and tennis shoes... They all were at least wearing a helmet, but something tells me that if that was optional, they wouldn't be wearing that either...

@BRad704 No. I need my hands. Today I was checking out @rojoracing53's epic video. I rode there with jeans, t shirt, sneakers and alpine star gauntlet gloves. I figure if I go down I want to be able to use my hands, elbows are overrated.

I was waiting at a light and saw two squids one after the other... no time for pics

First a guy on what looked like an older ZX6R. Jacket, gloves, jeans, sneakers, and a helmet ... hanging from the side of the seat. Just as I am telling my girl how much of a dumbass that guy is, a girl on what looked like a black R6 comes from the opposite direction... 3/4 length jeans, sneakers, a hoody and no helmet/gloves.

I'll call myself out for today. Ran a few errands this morning in full boots, kevlar cargo pants, Cortech gauntlets, full face helmet and a tshirt. At least I had the head, hands and feet taken care of.

I found some in KY. The guy on the older GSXR had it stretched and chromed. He totally opened it up, and drifted through the whole right turn at the light, smoking rubber and everything the whole way. Kinda impressive, but really stupid.
