My first Video

Thanks so much to everyone who helped me on my journey to video editing.

This video is why I don't like to ride the Ducati on the street very often and why I am taking my SV for the first track day. Watch the clutch lever, all the way out, speed is 20mph and I use only 1/3 throttle! The bike has tons of torque down low so you really have to be careful in 1st and second gear! This was not intentional I just hit the gas to get moving and then SUPRISE! I hope
the upload works.

Link to original page on YouTube.

Sorry first time doing upload! Just use media player and it will play idk what the PHP attachment is nor how to correct it

Attached Files
File Type: wmv Duke throttle.wmv (20.27 MB, 12 views)

future reference, youtube is easier on the viewers with no need to download files

sidenote: how can you ride a bike without gloves? grips are horribly uncomfortable without them.

Thanks for the info on using Youtube! Will do from now on.

I usually do wear gloves and did on this ride. This portion of the video followed us leaving the drive thru ATM at our bank and I removed them to use the machine and forgot to put them back on but we stopped for fuel 5mins later and I put them back on then.

Sorry but I can't watch a video of a rider with no gloves. It's just so unsafe it freaks me out. Think about life with no hands or no use on hands? You can't do so many daily things you take for granted.

That video was crazy wild. However; even with all that torque and red paint that Ducati still never passed that mighty 250. Just goes to show you never need anything bigger than a 250.

My wife is on the MIGHTY 250 and she can ride quite well. I usually have to make her slow down. I posted this video to show how little throttle it takes to make the front get light. The bike is only at 4-5000 rpm and I move the throttle very little. I even still have the Ducati long throw throttle tube on the bike. My friend wants me to switch to the R6 short (1/4 turn) throw throttle tube but this is with the 3/4 turn tube installed. I really have to be careful in the lower gears as I have gone vertical exiting a corner in third with too much too quick on the throttle. This was an expected result I hit the gas to catch up to the wife and I just posted it to show how little it takes to lift the front. I was not trying to do a wheelie but I know when I get on the gas at all in first it will lift like a dirt bike!

Stiffen your rear suspension.

i would suggest setting static sag first. then work on throttle control.

See above post: I had just removed my gloves to use the ATM and we were headed to the Gas Station less than a mile away. I always wear gloves (except when I forget to put them back on) and just forgot to put them back on but did so after the fuel stop. Most people seem to miss the point of this post as I have described why I put it up above but oh well enjoy and post away!
