Yep, this is why you should play motorbike polo with cats on the roads and your foot.

Cats know people stop for them here, so they spend hours groomng themselves on the warm roads and people just sit and wait and get angry, I speed up.

Well speaking from the point of an animal lover I still would have done the some thing. To me that's almost like seeing a person hurt in the road. But that's me and if you think he should have left the bird to die there that's you.

I don't think it need to be left for dead. He need to take it to the vet and spend a few 100 on it.

Most vets would have helped and probably wouldn't have charged much if anything. It may be different over there. IDK

Years ago i found a black bird that had been hit and was sitting on the double yellow line. I picked him up and we took the little guy to a wildlife rescue up in North Jersey. He actually recovered and was released up there.
