I got tired

...of my bike looking like this:

I hated the stock seat, it made my butt hurt after just 30 mins or so. So I got that seat pad to put on top. But it looked stupid just sitting on top, so I decided to do something about it!

Took off the seat cover, and made a little space in the foam.

Put the pad in

And here it is, just gotta find a staple gun to finish it up

Not a bad way to save $150 off a Corbin

I know looks are relative but I'd spend the money and get a proper seat.

Why is there foam on the inside of your fairings?

I didn't get any foam with either of my bikes
Maybe only American bikes have it?

Very inventive @rasta. It doesn't look as quality as a professionally made seat, but that's a hell of a saving and looks much better than just having the seat pad on top of the oem seat

My fairings didn't come with foam in them. Is it some kind of insulation? Or a vibration dampening thing to stop the screws coming loose?

huh?

His is an 08? mine is a 12 bought new and mine has foam so IDK?

Not sure why they put it in there, i figure for maybe heat, or a little cushion if the bike is dropped?
@Christofini The maybe only american bikes thing is a possibility.

I'm sure the seat will look much better when the seat cover is stretched tight and stapled in place.

Got around to getting a staple gun and finished up. Might not look professional but it looks fine to me

Wow, I think that's a bit weird that they didn't put foam? Guess they're confident enough that the fairings won't be affected by the heat. Mine were.

For what it's worth, there's only foam on the one side
