Wallet Issues?

Today I was riding through town and my wallet in my back pocket was lifted up by my paystub. While driving my wallet flipped out of my back pocket and I had no idea until this kind old couple showed up with it.

Thankfully there are some decent people still around!

You're lucky to have that returned!! Even if people all had good intentions and didn't steal wallets, sometimes things just don't get found when you loose them on the road

On the other hand, fill that thing with singles so it's nice and phat and won't fall out anymore. Side effect is if you see any stray dancers, you can help pay for their... Err... School loans!!

I wish! In Saskatchewan it is illegal to have alcohol and people stripping in the same location. So there isn't any around me.

Also its illegal to serve alcohol during the following functions; mud wrestling, Jello wrestling, GoGo dancing, Removal of any clothing of an employee in a provacative manner.

i keep mine in my tank bag along with my pistol. i also think its a anti theft when some one watches you get off your bike and put a gun on ur hip :P. or if im riding for long periods of time i switch to my old skateboarding blind wallet with Velcro and wallet chain.

I keep my wallet in my front jacket zipped pocket. I find sitting on it makes my back hurt in cars and on bikes.

jacket chest pocket, every time. same with my cell phone. and insurance/registration info for that matter

i want easy access to everything if I'm lying on the ground after an accident. That includes having my health insurance card in my wallet, and easily found.

Lost my wallet on the bike twice. Recovered zero times. Found and returned someone else's once.

Once, it didn't go as deep as it usually goes in my jacket pocket because I also had a bunch of bags for picking up after the dogs. It fell out while I was stopped at a light, splitting lanes in El Cajon. A car started honking to tell me just as we all started moving. I U-turned at the next light and some jerk had already grabbed it with at least $86 in cash, a Social Security card, my MSF completion card, etc. I almost never carry cash too. I never left eyeshot so the person who took it obviously saw me turning around to come back for it.

The other time was at a drive through. I think I set it on the open tanke bag lid as I put my food into it and I probably thought it was in the bag too when I flipped the lid over and zipped it up. I called as soon as I arrived at my destination (work) 10 minutes away, but they said it wasn't there. I checked back and no one ever turned it in.

When I was in Cypress, CA buying used tires from @00v_Lucky (yes, I took my bike), I found a wallet in the crosswalk at the entrance to his apartment complex. The address on the license was to a neightborhood a few blocks away, but very few houses had visible street numbers and the ones that were there seemed all over the map or didn't match the number on the curb. When I eventually found the right place, the girl on the couch just kept waving me away and refused to answer the door. She probably had no idea that the guy there had lost his wallet and didn't care to turn off the TV and listen to me through the door. It was late, but I couldn't just come back earlier on another day because I lived hours away. I had to be persistant to get her to finally get up and get someone to answer the door. She just took it from me without even saying "thank you." I'm pretty sure that there was money in it but I didn't want to snoop and only opened it to see the address.

Yup. It has to be in a pocket that zips closed, otherwise it's just a matter of time before it falls out unexpectedly.

Either has no room left or doesnt have the necessary equipment.. Freedom...

anyways those things are tiny. I don't think I would like carrying them around.

As for keeping it in my pants I think that would be more uncomfortable. Seems like It would raise more problems. Also If I stood up at a light it could potentially fall out.

The jacket I have does have pockets in the chest but I cant have wallets near my heart area. I have some sort of blood condition which makes me demagnatize cards. Atleast one per month in my back pocket. 3+ a month in a chest pocket.

It's more of a burden then anything. If I could actually control it then maybe a super power.

Still don't understand why anyone would put their wallets in the back pocket of their pants.

Where do you keep it? My left pocket has my keys and change my right pocket is my phone. I can't keep anything in hand warmer pockets and my chest pocket demagnatizes my cards fast.
