any webmasters here?

I finally gained back control of www.doublezracing.com today.

I got the content from my old webmaster who is not in the biz anymore.

looking for someone who knows what they are doing and would be willing to help. Maybe 2 days of work to start... and then just spot checking. Not planning on changing the content much at this point.

Shoot me a PM if you can help.

thanks

I do this kind of work. When you say "content", what do you really have? A copy of the website code + data? Only data? I am sure you know you just can't throw some documents on a server and have a website, there is a bit more involved. Is it safe to assume it was running some sort of blog app to host the data?

I was in contact with my old webmaster and he sent me a 7.5meg zipped file. I'm assuming that was his "back up" site file for my site

I can send it to you if you want to take a look at it. PM me an Email address and I'll forward it over to you.

I do web design, but I don't have the time to take on another site, or to design a site from the ground up. Hope someone can help you out!

Hey Lohman, did you ever pick and pay for the hosting plan that fits your needs? Once you do that, the site can be uploaded and back up and running in a few hours.

not yet, trying to find a less expensive web hosting provider.

not really looking at having a "cart" selling system or tracking of orders online at this time... but perhaps in the future. I've got ideas... it's just not "full on" yet.

still at the hobby level, not ready to spend big coin... yet.

That's cool. I will have a look around for you as well. I think I remember a hosting provider that only charged $4 a month that would work for your site as it is right now.

Lemme know if you find anything before me and I will help you get it back up and working.
