blinker issue

So few weeks ago I installed undertail with integrated LEDs.

Wired everything up, bought a new blinker, l552a I think? As per a DIY.

Everything worked great on multiple occasions when testing everything.

Today was first time I got to ride bike since last November, road to work this morning and everything seemed great. Took a quick spin at lunch time and about 10 minutes in, I noticed my dash signal indicator wasn't lighting up and I could not hear other signals/blinker working or see them working either.

I thought, blinker came unplugged/loose. Pulled over, took seat off and blinker is fine, but not working. (managed to break stupid screw driver in the bikes tool bag) Figured I will look at it closer when I get home, that's the plan. After that it would work on occasion but generally only blink once or twice then quite entirely again?

When I parked the bike it worked again for a little then quit again?

Any ideas, I will go through all the electrical under the seat ect... to see if I can find anything goofy

just gonna order a blinker designed specifically for LEDs, should solve the problem.

Tridon EP 34 is the one that's been found to work on our bikes. It has three prongs so one needs to be grounded. But i had issues with the EL 12* when I converted my front blinkers to LEDs. The EP 34 has a nice steady blink.

Watch out for off brand ones, the Napa one had problems.

*edit: fixed from saying the wrong relay.

I think you mean the EL 12? At any rate, that link has the two relays that work for our bike courtesy of Tri. So seems like OP needs the right relay
