Rear Hugger and Wind Screen
I'm thinking of getting this wind screen and this hugger.
I want a screen so that I get less or no wind blown in my face when I'm going fast. I want a hugger so that / that area around the rear suspension doesn't need so much cleaning. It's a pain in the ass trying to clean back there! Any thoughts/experience on the two products I was thinkin' of gettin'? Maybe you can suggest something better. Thanks, |

hugger
The only thing that I saw that seemed to be a pain with those is that they are connected to the bolt of your chain guard so obviously every time you do chain maintenance/cleaning you're going to have to unbolt that it seems.
I suppose having to clean the bike less isn't a bad trade off though. Windshield looks cool but I don't have a bike yet so take my comments however you will ha ha. |

Hugger looks cool, can't really go wrong with a sportsi though. Or so I hear.
As for the windscreen get the puig. No issues and it's sharper than most. |

I've ordered from the hugger company before.
They're fast. |

There's also one on ebay without the chain guard... looks really nifty and isn't too pricey(comparatively) either... http://www.ebay.com/itm/Kawasaki-ZX-...9e1188&vxp=mtr While you buy it, you can do your bit for the greek economy too

Puig are supposed to be very good, and pretty pricey, but any DB screen is well worth having.
The rear hugger doesn't keep under the tail as clean as you'd think. My bike came with one fitted (badly) by its original owner, it doesn't rub the rear tyre, but when new ones go on the little rubber stalks get deflected it's that close (and the bolts are in with loctite red) In the city it'll stay clean enough but on backroad spins (my old commute when I lived in your town) under the tail still collects all sort of crap, especially in the wet. |

Are they just reselling Scott's hugger? Looks really really close.

I was thinking the same thing. It wouldn't be the first time someone around here has made a small-time custom part out of their garage, only to have their idea snatched up by someone bigger.

I have the expertise/resources to do the same, just not the will... Lol could probably sell that for half the price and still make money on it.

It mounts the same but the style isn't at all the same. I actually dislike that mounting style and prefer the kind braced against the swingarm but that's the only way to do it with so little material so it makes sense that they would look similar.

I've wanted a sportisi hugger since the day I first saw it!
I love every single thing about my Ninja EXCEPT that pathetic swingarm! I been trying to get hold of one for months but it's imposssible here in the UK? Don't suppose anyone is selling one? |

I have a zero gravity DB and it works good. It looks great and it fit perfectly.
As for the hugger, I used the one off a bison but I guess the cbr fits good there too.
