Greetings from Portland, OR

Hello everyone :-)

I am a new female rider (just over 40 days and 300 miles under me) and I found this forum. I live in Portland, OR and I probably have almost as much invested in my gear as I do my bike

I ride a red and black 2012 Ninja 250R and I've been having a ton of fun with it. Riding in Portland gives an entirely new meaning to the word "crazy" especially during the morning and evening commutes.

So hopefully, I'll make some new friends in the area or at least some folks that don't mind answering silly questions from new riders :-)

Good on ya for spending money on gear!

Good gear makes riding more comfortable, and comfortable riders are better able to maintain situational awareness. Money spent on gear also transfers from bike to bike when/if you have more than one.

Welcome, my friend. I too am a SE Portlander! Portland rush hours are wild, aren't they? I love how the chill Portlandia attitude is nowhere to be found from 5 to 6 pm. It's like they all turn into Werewolves out on the prowl for motorcyclists!

What chill Portlandia attitude? They aim for us on the East side

My commute has me leaving at 6am and heading home at 4. I'm not sure which route I despise more..Powell Blvd, 82nd Ave or the 205....Hit me up if you'd like to ride sometime :-)
