Important question. Please help. This is not a joke

Hey all. I will be blunt, I think my downstairs neighbors are smoking pot cuz it smells aweful in my apartment and I feel quite odd all the sudden. Also, when I thought about the fact that i used "blunt" in this post, it was a bit funnier to me than it normally would be. But I am serious here. If they are drugging up, I don't want my daughter exposed. I don't care what anybody does, I just want some help so I can figure this out. Thanks

so does it smell like pot or does it just smell odd? since it's an apartment maybe talk to the manager and see if he knows if anything happened there.

Notify the apt manager that there is a strange odor coming from below and you are concerned for your daughter's health.

+1 Calling the apartment manager and having him investigate is the thing to do.

Here's an easy fix. Go talk to your "neighbor" and discuss your concerns. That would be the "neighborly" thing to do.

Ratting people out could cause more trouble - confront the neighbor in a proper way.

Yeah just tell the dude (neighbor) you smell some funny stuff and are concerned about your daughter. If the funny smelling stuff doesn't go away, then get the manager.

It shouldn't be an odd thing. Just tell them nicely you're their upstairs neighbor and you don't wanna go to the manager. They'll respect you for not ratting them out.

If they find out it was you who went to the manager you might have a sticky problem on your hands. I'd just go buddy up with them really quick and tell them to tone it down if at all possible.

PS.. I think they are trying to legalize it in Maine as they did medically in California and several other states now.
You might run in to this kind of thing more often soon, and it might even be completely legal.
