Help: Getting A Helmet for Round-shaped head
Hello everyone,
this is my very first post here. So I finally made the decision to buy a ninja 250 from a friend of mine... But I will have to have a helmet to bring the baby home. I went to the largest cycle gear store here in my town and tried to find a helmet that fit my super rounded shaped head. I have tried on at least 20 helmets from different brands and with different price tag. Everything from $100 to $1500 but only one of those seems to fit me, which is the Shark Race-R Pro. But I don't quite like it aesthetically... I've tried Arai Rx-Q which seems to be the second best fit, but i could still feel some pressure points right above my temple. It just seems like that Shark is the only one that can fit me.. so please help me out Those of you who have a neutral/round head, what helmet do you wear??? Cheers, Sean |

to the site!
Just curious, have you seen this website? http://www.webbikeworld.com/motorcyc...met-shapes.htm Might be helpful narrowing the list to what works for you. Apparently I have a slightly round head, least that is the closest I can find with my LS2 386 modular, so I can't help with specific recommendations.

yeah sir. Thank you for replying. I actually found this website when i shopped around today and showed the charts and tables to the Sale Associates. This table is a bit outdated and most of those helmets are discontinued.

Unfortunately that's life, there is one thing for sure if the helmet is not comfortable in the shop it will not get better when you are on the bike.

The only true way to figure out what fits you best is to try it on. From my experience, Arai and Schuberth have the most round shapes but you won't truly know what fits best until you try on several brands and compare the feel.
