KTM to join in high HP civilian bike race

Looks like KTM will be offering a crazy civilian superbike based off of there soon to be GP bike. Not sure if it will be road legal or just track, kinda sounds like track only but not definitive.

Well it will be another option for those who have the coin to play this crazy game

When will you learn? Just because the bike has a lot of power does not mean you have to use it all the time! The H2 is a perfect first bike or at least after you get your license on a Hyabusa. Besides with all the torque that bike has --just dont rev it past 3000 rpm and you will be fine.

You know what though, I took a KTM Superduke 1290R out on a test drive. it had 192HP and it was very confidence inspiring and i felt like I could take it any where. Now I'm not a new to motorcycles, I have a few years of experience but these new superbikes have all these electronic aids that keep most everything in check. I dont think a superduke R would make a good first bike by any means.

I found it interesting that KTM doesn't have a factory Moto3 team, and that anyone can buy one of their Moto3 bikes for 43k euros.

They do have a factory moto3 team, and you cannot just buy that bike for 43K euro. You can by a RC250R moto3 bike from them for 43k euro I am sure, which is like the redbull rookie bike, but last I checked the full Moto3 World Champion kit is over 200K euro.
