2008 ninja only runs on choke at idle
My 08 sat for a couple years since it first owner crashed it.
I got it and put bars on it and patched a hole in the radiator then started ridding it down back country roads . Well I let it sit for most of this last year since I got my cruiser. -I drained the fuel and it was totally shot/ refilled with gas treated with marine grade stabil -The battery shot / replaced it with AGM bat like stock -oil change w filter -checked air box and filter for mice ect and it's uninstructed When I start it it will only start with choke on It will only idle w choke indefinitely , if you twist the throttle it stalls If you turn down the choke it stalls I am going to pull my carbs this weekend I am thinking gummed up jets????? Also it never ran right originally It has a yoshi slip on and stock jets and air filter Should I re jet or just change the stock jetting and remove my snorkel Is a k and n worth it or just keep te stock air cleaner ? What ya think? |

pull and clean carbs - check
desnorkle - check shim needles - check try that before swapping out to pods.

Thanks . I wasn't sure if there was some thing electrical that could cause these symptoms

ninja 250R + sitting + won't start/idle/well = carb cleaning.

My ninja doesn't even need choke to start and go. Always puzzled me.
