Which rags do you read? (US)

From time to time I'll buy one of the bike magazines, if there's a feature on something that interests me.

BIKE from the UK is really good I think, but it's way to expensive here to read regularly.

So of the three leading US magazines - Cycle World, Motorcyclist and Sport Rider - which do you read and why?

(I'm leaving out the Harley-oriented and touring-oriented magazines because they're really not aimed at us anyway.)

I might actually subscribe to Sport Rider, if only because it's not as easy to find as either of the other two.

I'm subscribed to Mojo Magazine in Canada. I like to read the articles of ppl riding all over North America and their experiences on that trip.

I subscribe to Cycle World, mainly because magazines are so ridiculously cheap, but it's also a good read... which I can't really say about my Hot Bike subscription. I've recently noticed myself involuntarily groaning when I find it in my mailbox, instead of Cycle World.

Well I am a reading fanatic, moto magazines and books galore. Currently I have subscriptions to:

Motorcycle Consumer News. The absolute BEST magazine, pricey yes but they don't take advertisement so everything you read is 100 percent the truth no strong arming by corporate big wigs.

Cycle World

Motorcyclist

Motorcycle Classics

Don't do Sport Rider too one sided I let my subscription run out. Also SuperStreebike was good when it first came out but went downhill fast.

i like motorcyclist and have for a while. their coverage has expanded to cover dirt bikes and other two wheeled rides. keith code's riding tips are always good. just like their style and wit. am new to cycleworld and like it so far. think wife subscribed to that and playboy (good articles) in one of them package deals.
....i ain't complain'in...

I continue to be pleasantly surprised by their content.

The ones I pay for are Cycle News and Road Racing World.

Sport Rider. The articles aren't always full of fluff, and the tech stuff is pretty good info. Pretty good balance of articles and ads, too. The only thing I don't like is that they tend to over review the high end bikes and miss the more mid priced sector where most of humanity lives.

Someone on this forum ( I think it was Blue Raven ) had posted a link for a free subscription to Sport Rider magazine so that is what I have been reading. By the way Lil One, thanks for the link.

I have a subscription to Sport Rider (signed up free for a year). I buy Cycle World off the shelf often, despite the fact that it covers very similar material as Sport Rider. I just received two issues of Hot Bike, which is all about H-D and other American cruisers. This last one is really solid, lots of tech (yes, there are technical elements to Harleys) and how-to stuff.
