I have 2 options
#1 drill and tap new holes for tank mount. #2 get my dremel out and start grinding on bracket. option 2 is winning #brainstorm# option #3 drill out/hog out tank hold down bracket holes.

My racing org, WERA, requires a damper on all bikes even the little 250. I bought one exactly like this and have been using it with no problems over 2 years now I believe.
It does bolt right on with no modifications. Ill see if I can get pictures tonight. I can tell you that you will need to slide the clamp about an inch further down the body of the damper to get full lock/lock travel. I always leave mine on the lowest damper level possible. Its only there for me to pass tech. |

Old stock gsxr dampers work too. We use them to pass race tech as well, they are mostly non functional and just weight you down more, but required non the less. :\

I have one of those on my DT100. Watch out, the bushing in the mounting clamp can push out, disconnecting the whole thing when you least expect it. I put an oversize washer under the bolt head so the clamp can't come off over the bolt even if the bushing tries to come out.

It's just a washer under the bolt head of the bolt that mounts the movable clamp to the frame. The washer is slightly larger than the hole the bushing presses into, so even if the bushing tries to come out, the clamp can't come past the washer.
